In short: Outstanding race from organisation to scenery to supporters In full: What a fantastic race! The organisation of this event was professional from start to finish. The marshalls were abundant and very encouraging. The unique historical location was outstandingly beautiful, and the locals turned out to line the streets and cheer us on. Despite a few complaining that some roads were a little tight, I obtained a PB as did many of my fellow club members. With glorious sunshine to top it off, this has to be one event that is worth repeating year after year. Well done Matt & team! Date of review: May 14, 2012
In short: good weather (Thank God), good route and organisation, thank you very much! In full: look forward to doing it again. Is there potential to have a running festival there eg a fun / family run and a fast 1500m / mile and so on (similar to the road races along Deansgate, Manchester, a couple of years ago or the events around the Great North Run)? Well organised and with central cutover points its ideal for spectators too. This is the best inaugural event i have taken part in . Well done everyone! Date of review: May 14, 2012
In short: Excellent race, can't wait to do it again :) In full: First race, really good experince, made intro to racing really easy. Only niggle is knowing could have got an even better PB if the course had been a tad wider, some areas just difficult to overtake. All in all though brilliant day :) Date of review: May 14, 2012
In short: Well Organised, Great Atmosphere, Great Weather & awesome course In full: My expectations had been quite low for a first time race, having recently taken part in the Bolton 10k which is a well organised and establish race, the Port Sunlight 10k got out of the starting blocks with a bang!
The sunny weather helped highlight the great scenery and made for a great atmosphere. The streets and roads were clean & tidy with the route being easy to follow and well marshalled.
In short: Thoroughly enjoyed. Hope it becomes an annual event as do others I spoke to on the day. In full: I really enjkoyed this race, helped by a pb. The route was 2 laps and I was a bit nervous as I found the route map a bit confusing but this could not have been further from how it was on the day. Well marshalled and organised and in my opinion it was all executed well. As Port Sunlight is a smallish village there was a lot of support all round the route and all the marshalls were encouraging which would make it a nice first time race for people to try. The route was mostly flat but had a few longer inclines but these werew not very troublesome. I really hope this race becomes an annual event and this view was echoed by the people I spoke to on the day. Date of review: May 14, 2012
