In short: Great Atmosphere. Tough course but that adds to the challenge and 'fun'. In full: This is the best road race in the area as it has character and an intimate charm that is not evident in many of the higher profile events. Date of review: October 7, 2013
In short: Tough but well organised In full: Great atmosphere and well supported. locals seem to really want to be involved unlike a lot of other races.Marshals superb and again seem to really support the race. Well done Basingstoke a real credit to the running calendar. One massive gripe runners know the risks in wearing headphones so please please don't patronise us on race day and tell us not to wear them. If you are a fun runner like myself music is part of the enjoyment of being out there and I still look at the marshals as they guild us round. Just a gripe to what was a good well organised run.
In short: Very hilly, great support, good mix of runners In full: With crowds supplying the jelly babies and tough hills a plenty , this is a great day! You probably will not get anywhere your PB , but it's a good test and the number of runners is just right. enjoy! Date of review: October 7, 2013
In short: Wouldn't have miss this Half Marathon for any other race! In full: The Marshalls and supporters really make this race, without the option to wear headphones, they spur you on through the tough hills and the ladies at the end were so gracious when removing the chips and presenting the medals. See you all next year ;) Date of review: October 7, 2013
