In short: Fantastic day out in the mud.
In full: Absolutely brilliant, will definately be back again next year, no problems with organisation etc., as traffic is only to be expected from an event of this size at such a location, its just not an issue.

Only one thing though, think the organisers need to trawl the first major bog just after the water station, as judging by the smell something is seriously not right there !!!

Loved it (although my legs are telling me different today).

In short: Great fun, but the shorter course is very disappointing!
In full: My second time doing Hellrunner. Fantastic fun, great athmosphere and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Advertising as 10-12 miles, and with it being 11 last year left me and many many others disappointed with it only being 8.8 this year. And therefore couldn't describe this as Hell! Maybe there should be an option to do two laps as there are bound to be idiots like me that were ready for another go around, this would probably satisfy both the hardened runners and the fun runners!

Parking needs looking at next year too.... hardly a bright idea to park cars on a field that is so wet!

Anyway, really enjoyed the race and will probably be back next year.... it all depends on if the organisers pay attention to the feedback of the runners!

In short: The most fun i've had in running shoes
In full: Excellent fun - loved every minute of it. Slight delay at beginning due to traffic issues but nothing serious (until I had to drive off the muddy field - tractors on stand by next year please!). Course in general not as hard as expected but the bogs & hills were challenging - don't do this unless you can laugh at being armpit deep in stinky sludge. Will be back for more next year!

In short: Muddy bottoms and the rest
In full: Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic. If you like to get wet and muddy, climb steep hills and slide back down them, then this is the race for you. It's not really a race just a fun day out in the mud. You must do this race. Certinally challenging and you don't notice the distance or time as you are too busy concentrating on the path and people ahead.

In short: Good dirty fun but poor organisation.
In full: Very poor organisation. Think they were trying to save money by not posting out race packs so having to queue for them was not good after having tried to hard to park the car. The race seemed shorter than in previous years, but still it was loads of fun and there seemed to be more bogs and more hills! Will still do it again, but really does need to be thought out and runners sent in waves rather than two races.

In short: Great race just need to sort out logistics.
In full: Car-parking as has been mentioned before was a nightmare. Yes, the route was shortened but managed to cram in enough mud and hills to keep everyone occupied. My biggest gripe was the abitary way in which the waves were sorted out - really glad that I decided I'd fifnish higher up the field some deserved a first wave start and I think I justified it!
Despite some of the issues which can be addressed by downsizing in some way this is a craking event which I will make the 2.5 hour journey to come back to.

In short: mud sweat and tears - great fun
In full: A great course if you just want to have fun - lots of bouncy forest floor, mud, hills, mud and pudddles. And mud. I would say this was a refreshing change from road running, but it was decidedly smelly in the bogs! Forget about PB's and just get deep down and dirty. We did have to push our car out of the soggy 'car park' - overall I thought the setup was better organised than last year though.
