In short: Brilliant organisation and real value for money
In full: Thanks to the organisers. Took a minute of my own pb on a course suited for good times (barring the odd head wind). It's flat and the track width easily accommodates the size of field soon after the start. Extras, including plenty of refreshments, T-shirt and medal make it very good value. Spectators can also view their runner several times due to the nature of the route, and facilities are all in place. Well done.

In short: Fab race!
In full: Weather was a dream compared to last year, so knew was onto a winner. This race runs like clockwork and the preparation must be massive so a huge thank you to all involved especially the marshals, most belong to a local running club and give up the whole of their Sunday.

The course is great it was my second time and knowing the course I found helped, but the best bit is a clock at every mile really keeps you on track, but the best touch is the piped music you know you are getting closer to getting back onto the final loop when you hear it.

I had a great day, scored a massive PB, and will be back next year.

In short: Great organisation and family frienlier than many races
In full: This was my fourth in a row and I normally struggle to meet the fast potential of the course, possibly due to the exposed position and the previous inclement weather. This year was the opposite though and I ran a relaxed race to finish in 1-39 and knock over 3 minutes from my previous PB here. So I was happy. The family enjoy this event as well. The ability to get out of the weather in the paddock, the food stalls, music over the tannoy and ability to always be in touch with runners make this, for our family, friendlier than other races. So despite the sometimes crowded track and monotonous scenery, it's still enjoyable. I look on it as a different race & challenge to others I run. As much a mental as a physical challenge. Being able to see all of the runners stretching ahead of you, the inclines and long stetches of track over the last few miles can prove very hard. So I can understand this event may not be for all runners but the atmosphere is very good and plenty of encouragement from one another & marshalls etc. It is also a very good value race - it would be nice to get sized T-Shirts (organisers take note, charge a few pounds more and ask for sizes on the entry form) but at £15 it's still generous. Compare that with the £30 Reading HM the week before with no more in the goody bag and no T-Shirt of any size!

In short: nice MEDAL & BIG t-shirt
In full: My 2nd time here weather was a lot better than last year !! The route is a bit monotonous but it is good prep for the London Marathon. Organisation & marshalls were good as always as were the goody bags. I quite enjoyed my run today if a bit hard going in places.

In short: Superb race
In full: I can't believe some comments regarding T shirt sizes etc. The event was a bargain and I thought the T shirt was nice anyway. Chip timing, bottled water, lucozade, free parking - It was such good value I felt guilty !
Last year I thought the distance was long, but this year I took more of a racing line' and mile splits were consistent. Running around the outside of bends would have added distance.
Well done Silverstone !

In short: Very well organised, good atmosphere. would do it again.
In full: Organisation first class, flat course although many turns, good atmosphere although scenery is a little dull unless your an F1 anorak. Ideal preparation for FLM or beginners.

In short: A great value and well organised race.
In full: Fantastic value - £15 for as much water and lucozade that you can shake a stick at along with a good medal and a dodgy T-shirt - not bothered on T-shirts as they only find the bin anyway but I guess different sizes would be good for others.

Good race, a little hard in the middle part when you are running on your own / with fellow runners with not too much to look at but the track parts were great and is a quick race, even with the wind.

Really well organised, shame weren't a few more cheering on etc but well worth doing.

In short: Brilliantly organised, great value and marshalls who clearly wanted you to do well!
In full: This was my first half marathon and having done mainly London based 10k races before I was looking forward to Silverstone as a normally off limits sporting venue.

I found the organisation fabulous (e.g. I entered late and my race pack didn't arrive in the post but I knew I could get a spare at the venue on the day so wasn't too concerned) especially in comparison with other races i've done. I arrived at 9.30 and even then there were marshalls everywhere to show you what to do, where to go etc.

Cost wise I thought it was great value and leaves me wondering how other races charge far more without offering timing chips, t-shirts, medals etc.

Final word has to go to the marshalls who from were fantastic and generous with their applaud and support. The course is open and while (thankfully) it stayed dry I imagine it's pretty unforgiving when you've got to stand still.

Well done everyone involved.
