In short: Very enjoyable, good preparation for theFLM, both mentally and physically, as you lap te same things 4 times and it is undulating which FLM isn't. I would use it as part of FLM training next year if you missed out this year!!

In short: Part of route was used for the 1908 Olympic Marathon. Excellent traditional run. Very well organised.
In full: Excellent race. Strong winds for first two miles, but bright sun warmed me on the remaining miles. Otherwise a great day for a run. Police on bicycles for first time made a difference to traffic hassles. Friendly and encouraging marshalls.

In short: A small event which is ideal for a marathon warm-up. Only downside is the traffic on the roads as they are not closed during the event.

In short: Part of running's heritage in the UK, so a must for all
In full: This is my 3rd running of this race - overall very good. Wind made it very hard for the first 2 miles of each lap. Probably could have done with a few more marshalls and water station helpers. It would also be good to ask the slower runners who get lapped not to stop suddenly at water stations to have their drink - if I was 2 stone heavier the girl I ran into when she did just that would have been flattened! As one of the oldest races in the UK, this is a must for every runner at some stage.

In short: Well organized. Windy today!
In full: Very good training for a spring marathon. Excellent and friendly marshals. Actually enjoyed doing the laps as could judge pace easily (and seeing my wife at the end of each one - a big bonus!).

In short: Undulating and very windy today (the course not me !!)
In full: Hadn't done this one before and not usually a big fan of multi lap races. First two miles - which seemed to be the most undulating part - all run into a strong headwind. Managed to get a reasonable tempo going and clocked my laps in 36.5 minutes for each one, finishing up with a 2.26. Very pleased with that and would definately give it another go. Good FLM warm up.
