In short: Happy Loopy Lappys In full: Extremely well organised. Parking not a problem, traffic was well marshalled. A pat on the back for all the Marshals involved making this a safe and pleasant run. I would definietly run this one again even though I am still aching from yesterday. Runners were extremely friendly as well. Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Great marshalling and a hassle-free event In full: First time in the Finchley 20 and very pleased I entered. Great prep for London and friendly marshals are a key part of what running events like this are all about. Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Marshalls were excellent, the lady at mile 4 of the 5-mile loop didn't disappoint, and the lap format meant that i could pace myself well. An ideal pre-marathon race! e Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: My first ever 20 mile. The marshalls were fantastic. Discouraged to see my time as NTT, I guess because I came in at 4hrs 2mins...4 laps were okay surprisingly. I'd do it again. Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: A challenging race, but excellent as a marathon warm-up In full: The race is 4 times around a 5 mile loop, which involves some mental effort - all good training. The marshals were extremely encouraging and a special mention to the lady ath the bottom of the hill at mile 4. As a slowish runner, I was worried that I might feel that I wasn't good enough for this race, but that wasn't the case at all. Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: A first-class pre-marathon 20 In full: This was my first time at the Finchley 20 and I will certainly be back next year if spared. I thought the organisation and marshalling was extremely good (who was that lady at the bottom of the hill around 4 miles? she was fabulous; clapping and encouraging everyone!!). I was told to expect a fairly tedious 4 laps but I thought the course was interesting enough and I liked the 4 lap format as it was good for pace judgement. For me this was the perfect race to see what kind of shape I am in 4 weeks before London. Chip timing would be a welcome addition in future races... Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Quite undulating but the 4 laps meant you knew what was coming! Great support In full: I was quite nervous about this one as it's the furthest I've ever raced. I entered this as part of my prep for London. However I really enjoyed it! Thought the laps would be dull but at least I knew what was coming so found it mentally easier to handle the undulation. Marshals were fantastic! Glad they recognised my club stripe as it felt like I had lots of support. Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Great pre-marathon race In full: 3rd year in a row I've done this in preparation for a Spring marathon. The 4 laps help break down the race and maitain pace. Will be back next year no doubt. Date of review: March 29, 2010
