In short: Friendly race through a varied terrain.
In full: First time done this race, but got PB at this distance. Friendly and well marshalled. Some challenging windy and hilly bits made for a quite a variety over the 10km.

In short: Thanks,I really enjoyed it!
In full: Decided at the last moment to run this one so good to beable to enter on the day.Lovely friendly atmosphere, not intimidating at all for a beginner.Great course, very accurate with a very varied terrain.Just enough gradient to make it interesting.Only downside was the very exposed run through the field towards the end which also was too narrow to overtake safely. However a great run, lovely enthusiastic marshalls and smiling scouts handing out the water!

In short: First run on new certified 10km route
In full: Another decent, smoothly organised Reading Road Runners race with enthusiastic marshalling and a even a few locals braving the cold & wind to lend a cheer.
Route is on a new, accurately measured 10km course and as such times will be well down on the previous (shorter) route. However I was disappointed to be over 20s outside a recent half marathon 10km split. The wind and running alone was a big factor, but the 9th, offroad km was a real struggle. The course certainly isn't quick.

In short: great for a PB, good for beginners
In full: Had a great time running this race, managed a PB so very pleased. I like busy races so this was perfect, although in few places track narrow so difficult to overtake. Not a great scenery and it would be great to have less traffic but this is only the minor point. Overall great race, nice that fete was nearby so kids don't get bored, great goody bag and medal, will do it again next year.

In short: Pleasant countryside race, well organised
In full: Well organised fast race, managed a PB despite the wind. Thought the stretch through the open field between 8-9km into a howling gale had ruined any chance I had! Lots of supportive marshalls and spectators shouting encouragement plus good finish by the fete where families congregated to cheer everyone home. Extra special thanks to Mr K for the encouragement on the course!

In short: Mostly fast race bar 1k on pebbly paths through an exposed field
In full: nicely fast race a couple of ups and downs, but sheer windy exposed nature of the field at 8k, coupled with some offroad oebbly paths spoilt the pb potential a bit

However, a good race on a bank holiday;. Very good standard at the front for what isn;t that big a field. Reading the host club have a lot of fasties and they showed up...somuch so that my 36:43 probably is only top 20, when in other local 10ks this would be right up the top 10

In short: A good village-green 10K
In full: A new course this year, with no killer hills but a couple of lengthy leg-sapping gradients which to be honest are compensated for by similar downhill stretches. As always, well organized by Reading Roadrunners with loads of marshals on hand. Well worth the trip.

In short: A straight forward well organised race
In full: Changed course, and changed for the better I think. Not flat, but the steepest bits are all downhill and the climbs are steady. Tough into the wind today towards the end, but a nice course and plenty of enthusiastic marshals. Good for the family as well with the village fair at the finish as that makes for plenty of spectators at the end. Well done to Reading Roadrunners for another well organised event.
