In short: Incredibly flat, defo PB course. In full: Well very easy to find and well signposted. Plenty of car park space. Enered late but there was no problem picking up my number/chip. Organisation throughout the day can't be faulted. The course itself scenery wise is very exciting but it's perfect for a pb, 3 water stations which is plenty for a 10K. Good race. In short: Fast and well organised In full: Pacemakers were a nice touch and a good idea for a course that is PB friendly. Date of review: June 8, 2009

In short: Mentally challenging but good PB potential In full: Not a bad race at all. A VERY impressive medal and a decent goody bag. Not sure about how many adults would have wanted all those sweets tho!
The parking marshalls were excellent, and in general it was very well organised. I didn't have a good race really but I'm not that fit at the moment so didn't expect to. The race is flat thus fast but the as nice as the scenery is, it's really not an easy run as it's the same old scenery and most of the marshalls were not that supportive.
I'd probably do it again but I'd say that a non runner should take on Reading Half Marathon for what is possibly the best event I've done! Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: Organisation was superb! In full: My third time running the Dorney Dash, and once again I must say how good the organisation was. Can't fault it! All the helpers/marshalls etc were brilliant.
I knocked 2 mins 22 of my pb (which I set at this race last year) so was very pleased. Weather was soo much better for running in, i.e. not hot! I agree that running around Dorney Lake is a little dull, but I knew that when I entered. What was good was the race was not over crowded so there was little to no weaving going on. So much better than some of the bigger races I've done.
As I said last year, and others have agreed this year, would be nice to have proper chip timing. But not the end of the world as I can time myself.
Thank you everyone for a very rewarding morning. I plan to be back next year again. Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: Fast and flat and pb potential on the right day In full: Good venue and as others have said, a flat and fast surface and course but somewhat uninspiring, twice round a rowing lake. That said, the time seemed to pass quickly and it was enjoyable enough. Exposed to the elements, so if the weather is foul or hot there's no shelter or shade. Nice medal. Easy to get to by public transport, good baggage store. A bit disappointed that the chip time started with the gun, not crossing the line, but the results were up by the time I got home - impressive. A pleasant day out. Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: super flat, well organized but a tad dull In full: On paper this is an excellent venue for a race (traffic free, loads of parking, good club house, good for spectators) but the down side is that running twice round a manmade lake is a bit dull. The organization was excellent and cannot be faulted. Chip timing, a medal and a reasonable goody bag.
As there is no shade or shelter from the wind this course is always going to be open to the elements. Today is rained and was quite blustery which made it less fast but it would have been even harder if the sun was blazing. Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: Why aren't all races like this? In full: This event always seems to go so smoothly. Enough loos, lots of cheery marshalls, pancake flat course built for speed. It's almost perfect. A say almost, as because the course is so exposed you can suffer in any wind. But the organsiers can't be blamed for that. A timing mat at the start so there is chip to chip time and not gun to chip time would be ideal, but it was only 20 seconds out for me, and I got a PB by 44 seconds so I'm well pleased. See you all there next years. Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: Well organised even down to the weather! In full: Great run, PB for me and 6 mins quicker than last time I ran here. Well organised, friendly marshalls, good atmosphere and convenient. It's not the most exciting of places and the headwind catches you somewhere, but a great fast race and nice to see some forumites there! Date of review: June 6, 2009

In short: Good race, but where's the proper chip timing?? In full: Well organised and nice flat run. Shame about the wet weather. But really miffed that there was no proper chip timing (ie. not recording when you crossed the start line)! I think such a relatively large race justifies it as it took me ages to cross the start because of the amount of people... Date of review: June 6, 2009
