In short: Brilliant Leeds Thank You I got my pb
In full: Cant believe I got my pb..1 hr 37 previous best 1 38 at the Brass Monkey in Jan.Tapering for Edinburgh marathon i had planned to run 8.5 min/mile..I felt great after 3 miles so really went for it and reaped the benefits. The organisation was superb..water/gatorade and sponges every 2 miles made it the best half for me by far.The crowd were uplifting...Special thanks to the bloke who spurred me on from the sides at mile 7..Great running he said...That made me get my pb in my eyes.Medal nice and teeshirt...A must do race for anyone...Thanks Leeds I will be back next year..And well done on LUFC promotion from a Brdaford City Follower!!!!

In short: Surprisingly enjoyable!
In full: Was dreading this race because of a recent injury but was a great success in the end. Great atmosphere, although having non runners mingling in Millennium Square was annoying - especially as they were using the loos with 15 minutes to go. Also left little room to stretch out before the race. Some kind of sectioning would help.
Hills weren't as bad as they'd been suggested. Yes the first 6 are all up hill and there's a down hill at 5.3ish which lulls you into a false sense of security but then at 6.5 it's a sweet downhill/flat all the way - except for the last 200 yard which are up hill, but the crowds were great and carried me all the way.
Great support, nice touch with the kids with sponges.
T shirt and medal nice, but don't bother with the crappy sweets to make up a bag - what's the point? I really don't care about a free pack of Starbursts.
I guess I'll be back for more!

In short: A great race - hilly first half then all down hill
In full: I've done this for 2 years now and I reckon it is great fun. There's just the right amount of runners to make it interesting but no congestion. Support is quite good too. Parking etc v easy and a lovely pre start and finish atmosphere.
This year's dhirt was nicer than last and all in all a v good event and well organised. Thanks Leeds!

In short: Oh those hills!!
In full: 3rd time of doing it, and those hills at the start still get to me. But the crowds are great and supportive, which more than make up for it. Maybe a few portaloos in Millenium Square to ease the crush on the toilets.

Definitely back for a 4th go next year.
