In short: VERY GRATIFYING
In full: Hard work but worth it. Great atmosphere and the thought of a bacon butty at the end kept me going! Will be back next year.

In short: Tough run, great atmosphere
In full: It does what it says on the tin.
Everyone will expect a tough run, hills, mud, sweat etc, what sets this run apart is the atmosphere that the organisers and entrants have created. Wonderful.

In short: Thanks again Steve for another great race!
In full: Another great rough n tumble race! Brilliant organisation as always at the Grass Roots events. And I beat my time from 2 years ago by 10 minutes - I think you need to add another hill in!!

In short: Brilliantly organised. Hardcore hills. Muddy fun.
In full: Despite all the recent rain, the course was much easier under foot than in 2009. However, that hill was still there! This is an awesome trail race. Brilliantly organised and great value. A real small-club-run feel and some great cakes and bacon rolls at the end. I would recommend this one again and again.

Expect lots of mud and lots of hills.

In short: Well done again Grass-Roots
In full: Well done to the organisers - one of the best races around, and so tough... I think the snow enforced year off last had dulled my memory somewhat, as I had forgotten just how sapping the hills are. Especially the really gratuitous one - you all know the one I mean! Pleasantly surprised at how easy conditions were under foot given the recent rain, shame about the conditions in the car-park, and I'm not just talking about the sheep by-products...

As ever the race was very well organised, and a good time was had by all.

I hope you can resolve the times for the last 94 runners (as I am one of them, but didn't take a watch...) I also hope that Mrs Grass-Roots enjoyed her birthday...

In short: Grassroots events have done it again. Just brilliant!
