In short: Tougher than expected!
In full: The good- it is a beautiful setting and a great course, and I did enjoy the run (in the end, although I hadn't appreciated just how hilly it would be!)

Not so good- I know, it's my own fault, but I had not appreciated just how early I would need to get to the car park, especially given that I registered late and had to pick up my chip and number. Queue for the car park, 20 minute walk to the start, long queue to get my number, more long queues for the loos... I just made it to the start on time, but near the back, and with no 'filter' in place I struggled in the first two miles with some VERY slow runners blocking the road.

In short: Very enjoyable event.
In full: Copied from last year - Well organised, enjoyable & very scenic race but should have left something in the tank for the second lap. Good route with lots of shade from the over hanging trees. Never seen so many marshals all giving encouragement. Plently of off-site parking. Good start & finish area - made use of the swimming pool. One for next year. Well done Burnham Joggers - good one."

Tried & tester event - excellent.

In short: Enjoyable and challenging
In full: Ran last year and vowed never to do it again after struggling in the heat, but I wanted to do a local half marathon in August and so decided to give it another go. I really enjoyed it this year as I was prepared for how hard I would find the second lap. Very few supporters on the way round, but those that were there were appreciated, particularly the cute kids offering water at the end of the first lap and the man with the bag of jelly babies! Thanks to the organisers and marshalls.

In short: A nice run through "posh" Bucks
In full: A really nice race this one. Although in mid-summer the shade from the trees is nice. A greta run in at the end. A very nice race/event.

In short: Great organisation and plenty of shade from the sun
In full: Its hard to find many longer races in the summer months so BB was a great launch into the autumn racing season. Very well marshalled and organised. Would definitely need an extra water stop if the weather had been hotter though. As a first timer, I will definitely return next year.

In short: A well run, scenic half marathon.
In full: This half is definitley challenging but made an improvement on last years time. Better pacing a few degrees cooler certainly helped. Thanks to the organisers, the helpers and the school.

In short: Never mind the parking, I needed a bus to get around!.. ;-)
In full: Pheew, that was tough for me. I was nursing a ham-string injury, but managed to pull my calf muscle with 200 metres to go. Ouch!.. Not good, but a cracking race so well done to Burnham Joggers for hosting the event. See you next year for this testing 2 lap challenge and thanks for those mini mars bars.

In short: Local Beeches Girl - how could I not??
In full: 3rd time for me, and getting faster every year (only by about a minute a time, but at my advanced age ...) Everything as well organised as ever, the hills still catch me out on the 2nd lap and God knows I ought to be used to them by now, but I'll still be back for more. In any case, leaving home at 9.30 for a 9.50 line-up is always attractive!
