In short: Hills... What hills? Oh, those hills... In full: Yeap, they sure do have some hills on this course. Definitely not a PB improving race but a very satisfying one. The views and atmosphere were great and so was the determination of all - it really was about getting round and testing yourself. I was proud to finish in 1h40m and the boost it has given me will carry me though the rest of this season: if I can finish the HHH I can do anything :)
Respect to Hogweed. Date of review: March 15, 2010

In short: Ooh that was lovely! In full: A course PW but partly because I enjoyed it so much. What a great day! The weather was perfect, the views glorious, the marshalls superb and very friendly. Great for slower runners and probably as good for the faster ones. Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: Fantastic race - can't be faulted In full: As the organiser of some other 'challenging' races (Trionium) I thought I'd come and have a look at how they do it in the West Country. The fact is, they do it very well indeed! Easy registration - friendly letter with the number in the post - fantastically friendly race HQ set-up, easy walk to the start (with added spectacle of a splenetic local complaining about the runners - D'Oh!), terrific course which made the utmost of the local topography/geology to extract maximum pain (but provided lots of brilliant views and varied running through very pretty Cotswold scenery), clockwork organisation, efficient finishing tunnel (I won a spot prize - result! er...packet of meusli), and good post-race banter among finishers. I can see why this is well inside the RW top 50. All concerned should be proud - brilliant race! Date of review: March 14, 2010
