In short: Very well supported, good mixed course.
In full: This was my first time at Fleet, and I would definately do it again, but without the rain next time please. The course was varied, with good support in the town, and nice country lanes as well. Shame that Calthorpe Park was so muddy, but organisation was spot on.

In short: Great Race, well organised & marshalled with excellent support
In full: The organisers did an excellent job especially with the heavy rain in the lead up to the race. As always, this event runs really well and is very enjoyable to take part in - despite cold & wet weather there were plenty of supporters lining the streets and the marshals were ethusiastic & cheerful too!

In short: Superb Fast Club Organized Race
In full: This was a joy. The weather was bad but luckily we missed the worst of it. The course was not pancake flat but undulating, so you could certainly keep your pace up. Starting by doing a loop of the town was great as the supporters where out en mass. As we left the town and headed into the country side there was a lot of people cheering en route especially at mile 10 ish. Going back into the down the streets where lined with people more supporters.

The marshaling was excellent, the race just flowed through, lots of road closures. The final stretch into the muddy park could have been a nightmare but the marshals warned us of speed bumps and the final 100m was lined with sawdust and carpet to help us do a final sprint.

In short: Great race but not-so-great weather!
In full: Much better than I expected (though no idea why I didn't expect much!). Good course, which was a mixture of Fleet and nice countryside. Support was brilliant and it seemed like all the residents of Fleet and the villages had turned out to cheer, despite the awful weather - wasn't expecting that! Plenty of friendly marshals and good organisation all round. I live in Reading and couldn't decide between that or Fleet (I find Reading too chaotic, too expensive and lacking in scenery, despite the fantastic support) - definitely made the right decision and will be back next year.

In short: Dancing on mud!..
In full: Can't predict or even order the weather for the day, so had to make do with a wet run. It did not dampen the spirits though one little bit, even with the hills thrown in (this is not a flat run by any means) and the constant drizzle. Marshals were excellent and crowd support on such a horrid day was lovely, really kept me going.

The 'not-so-much' fun was as we entered the finish area, the ground was a total quagmire, but the organisers had put out mats at the worst spot for us to run on. Just after finishing, however, it really was a case of 'dancing on mud'as we slithered to the 'de-chipping area' and beyond. Then it was the obligatory medal and 'goody bag', which wasn't too bad. Also bottles of water and sports drinks for all finishers. Dry next year please!.. ;-)

In short: big race feel round the little town of fleet
In full: I enjoyed this race despite the bad weather. Hillier than expected.
bad points - Water station on a hill at the 11 mile mark and difficult to drop of my bag due to the luggage tents full of people sheltering from the weather. Good points Marshalls were tops given the horrid rain. Good route not too crowded and after the first 5 to 10 minutes overtaking was not a problem. Also the people of Fleet and surrounding villages were very supportive too especially around Crookham.
