In short: Riverbank rollick or Thornbury thlither?
In full: Bit muddy this one, and the route along the stream at the end hinted at a well-developed sense of humour amongst race organisers! Hard but very memorable with great views downthe Severn. Very friendly, clearly routemarked and well marshalled.

In short: supurbly run event in outstanding countryside just outside Bristol
In full: dispite arriving late and leaving my race number in the car I was struck by how friendly and well marshalled the race was with a great mix of mud , hills and a long river stretch , use as a blast or alternative long run venue
they even let me finish without a number

In short: unbelievable mud in places - a hard run
In full: This is 8.4 miles of hard cross country running only for those who enjoy that sort of thing I would say. MUD. Yes mud has to be the key word in this review, it was knee deep in some places and the going was VERY soft in a lot of others (they did warn us). Two killer hills after half way.

The organisation and marshalling was very good as you would expect with Thornbury Running Club (no I'm not a member) and the marshalls were very supportive and encouraging. The results were also posted up very quickly at the end which was a good touch.

A good hard race and a great experience but I prefer firmer surfaces I think.
