In short: great atmosphere and great use of footie ground
In full: Well organised. The changes took away some of the bits i thought were way too narrow previously which was a good move but definitely seemed to be a more hilly route - although i liked the challenge of that because working through that made you forget the scenery wasn't necessarily the best. I managed a pb but what folk say about it being possibly a bit longer...well their time definitely didn't match my garmin reading (still a pb either way though so i still happy with the race overall) The stadium ending really makes it worthwhile and definitely spurs you on to give it your all at the end. Nice one.

In short: A great race.
In full: Car parking was plentiful & easy to find.

The start was very well organised. The pens for start times were clearly marked. It was a nice city centre route. Thought the finish in Pride Park stadium gave an excellent atmosphere at the finish line. Will run this one again.

In short: Take out some of the sharp turns & lose the incline near 5k!
In full: 4th time of running this race, managed a P.B. this year, although I though the course had too many twists & turns in it which upset your tempo + the paved areas in the city centre were a bit slippy in places.
The start was better organised this year though, which made it easier for you to get away if you wanted to get a quicker time!

Would I do it again??

In short: Scenic tour of Derby city centre!
In full: Never done this one before, looking at the route I realised it was full of doubling back points and sharp corners. The marshalls were great at encouragement. Someone else mentioned there were free bananas - only skins when I got to the finish! Tshirt is good, water was much appreciated as the midway water point was using cups when we got through which made it a challenge not to soak yourself in the already unseasonable weather. Overall, it was my first official 10k and I really enjoyed it.

In short: Fun day out
In full: Pretty quick course on a dry day. Cobbles round the city were pretty slippery and a few too many sharp corners for my liking. But overall it was well organised and a quality Mizuno t shirt at the finish.

In short: Well organised and marshalled, with a cracking t shirt. bring back Bass Rec.
In full: As always, v well organised and marshalled. Course changes made it very twisty and broke up your rhythm, and missing out Bass Rec. made it a loss less picturescew! Still, a cracking event and a T Shirt you can use - Woo-hoo.

In short: Great atmosphere as ever. Start line organisation this year worked really well. The course seemed a little over 10k and some of the 1km signs were way out. Cost is getting a bit steep for a 10k though. But I'll be back!

In short: Better than previous years
In full: This is my fourth time and although it was my slowest it was also my favorite (maybe something to do with not having done a race in some time?)

Anyway, thought the changes to the course were an improvement - the section in previous years through the park have been more picturesque but lets not forget also narrower, at times in previous years you were running in single file.

Also in previous years the water stations were a bit dodgy (always seemed to small) this year they were just right.

All in all well done to the organisers!

In short: A good city centre run, starting and finishing at Pride Park Stadium. Excellent organisation. Lots of marshalls and spectators for support. T-shirt was good. I'll be back next year.

In short: enjoyable race.
In full: Love doing this race and finishing in pride park is special. I had a bit of a disastrous run today, but that was me not the course! It was definitely more hilly than last year and the scenery wasn't as good. Thought the T-Shirt was top notch, can actually use that one for training, so at least you get something good for your money! Highlight was high-fiving Rammie on the way into PPS!!
