In short: Worth the Mars bar In full: My 2nd marathon, I swear it was longer than Edinburgh. Bit disappointed at my time, over 5 hours but my friendly runners around me said sometimes you take under 5 and sometimes over. Good organisation, easy parking, goody bag was ok but didnt find my Mars bar until I got home. Would have been nice to get a tee shirt though. It was a bit wierd when thousands of half marathon runners finished and you carried on along with about 8 other people ! Date of review: September 30, 2010

In short: Nice to have starting pens this year. In full: As always very well organised from start to finish with good water stations, plenty of marshalls and a well ran finish. Some of the paths are getting a bit bumpy though, especially round by the 5 mile mark (the council may want to do some repairs). Date of review: September 24, 2010

In short: Good Run, good organisation in the main, great atmosphere In full: Really enjoy my local festival of running but need to get some organisation in place for leaving the car park at the Meadows end was chaos this year and not fair on local residents Date of review: September 22, 2010

In short: A very tough but enjoyable 1st marathon! In full: Did the full marathon (my 1st) and came thru halfway comfortably in 1.34 before hitting the wall in a big way around 22 miles and staggering to a 3.26 finish! The watersports lake section was extremely tough, the support there was appreciated there but I think i'd have preferred to suffer in silence by then!
I was very impressed with the runners village, the medal is very nice and all the staff were very helpful. The only reasons why I may not race here again are it's too far to come (from Cardiff) for a half marathon and there are plenty of other quicker full marathon courses that I'd like to try. Great day tho! Date of review: September 17, 2010

In short: Excellent race, well supported and great vibe In full: First time here,, I did the half, my husband did the full race. We both enjoyed the event, the HM part of the course is hard and hilly to us East Angular residents, but the parks were very nice to run round. Toilets at the start were plentiful and abundant and still in a useable condition when I finished the HM! Race Village was excellent and kept me occupied while waiting for my husband to finish. Will definitely be back next year Date of review: September 17, 2010
