In short: Can this event get any better, well it seems to each year I do it, you can't help but love and respect this event, fantastic organisation, brilliant marshals. In full: Didn't get my planned sub 4, but my times are still improving since my first Beachy Head in 2007. Back next year, you bet, would enter now if I could, hopefully next year I'll get the magic 3 Hour ....something. Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Best Marathon Ever! In full: Love it, love it, love it. Beachy was blessed with fantastic weather again this year which only helped to make my favorite race even better. The addition of chip timing was excellent as were the marshals, those at the water station and everyone else involved. Can't wait till the next one! Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Glad not to be back at work on Monday!! In full: My first running marathon and I choose Beachy Head! I agree with lots of the other comments, the organisation; marshalls with their smiles, humour and encouragement; checkpoints with food and drink; and spectators were all great. What I will remember the most was the stunning views all the way round, and while tackling each of the 7 sisters your reward for reaching the top was another great view. This is what helped to spur me on and got me through what I found to be an unbelieveable challenge, along with my running partner's encouragement (thanks Sarah!) and my family cheering me on. The hill down to the finish line filled me with euphoria and a huge sense of achievement. Your time really does not matter, it is the finishing of such an experience that does. A brilliant weekend with sunshine all the way! Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Unacceptable - no excuse for no drinks at CP3 - huge blot on the organisation this year In full: Why did CP3 run out of water, I was in the middle of the pack - unacceptable as the organisers had known the number of runners for months. The rest of the organisation was good. In short: Tough but fun In full: Really enjoyed this race. Great route, well organised and hard as nails. I love a scenic route and this is one of the best especially the last 6 mile over the seven sisters. Also it's tough very tough. I was trying to save some energy for the Greensands mara the following day but no chance of that. Luckily for me Greensands wasn't too tough. Date of review: October 23, 2011

In short: Fantastic race, very hard but thoroughly enjoyable In full: Loved this race. It was the first proper trail run I have done and the first really hilly marathon. Although it was tough, the scenery, atmosphere and sense of achievement made it well worthwhile. The only slight niggle was the water running out at Checkpoint 3, which meant I had to get to the next drink station with very little to see me through. Love the Littlington station, it was like arriving at a cocktail party in full swing! Given how far into the course I was passing some of the walkers, they must have set off before sunrise, which is pretty dedicated. I was also very pleased to see For Goodness Shakes at the end, love this product since trying the RW sample. I shall wear my Beachy Head T-Shirt with pride and will be registering for next year as soon as it opens! Date of review: October 23, 2011

In short: The sun shone on the righteous! In full: Excellent day. My first race since a summer lay off to injury and a most enjoyable wayto get back in the swing (literally with the great band at 16 miles). Very friendly and amazing support throughout. Was nice to take things a little easier for once and enjoythe day. I wish I'd taken my camera as some of the views were amazing. Thanks to teh organisers and see you next year!
