In short: Great marshals In full: This is the first half marathon that I've done where I became unwell during the race. Was doing fine until after the first drinks station (about 4 miles): when I started to get stomach ache/feeling sick and dizzy. I wouldn't have completed the course without the support and encouragement of the marshals. I came in last as I had no energy to run for the last few miles (sorry to the driver of the sweeper car who had to drive very slowly behind me) but the occupants didn't seem to mind as they encouraged me on. Also thanks to the marshal who alerted my husband that I was struggling so that he came out to look for me and give me some much needed encouragement. Hopefully I will be back next year to do this course proper justice! Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: Great race In full: It was my second worksop half and i really enjoyed it until the last 2 miles of which my legs gave up,but that was down to lack of training due to a calf injury. The organization was fantastic as usual, the marshalls were great shouting encouragement as you passed, and the t-shirt was a nice touch being technical with good art work. Thanks and see you next year Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: If Carlsberg were to organise a Half Marathon..... In full: ....it would probably look just like the Worksop Half Marathon !
Great course through National Trust parkland, great crowds and a brilliantly designed tech-t shirt at the finish. Looking forward to 2012 already ! Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: My favourite half marathon In full: Perfect mix of scenery and a challenge of undulating hills but also fast enough not to put people off. I somehow managed a PB too. Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: Really nice scenic course through lovely Clumber Park. There are a few hills but the downhills compensate the uphills to make this a potential PB course. Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: Excellent scenic course, would do it next year but let down by lack of toilets In full: Loved doing this race even if my performance was let down by lack of prep due to injury/illness. The course was great as it went through Clumber Park (never run through so many trees) and enough water points to keep hydrated. Only let down by inadequate toilets at start which could simply be improved by urinal vans for the men such as provided at Perkins HM, Peterborough. Date of review: November 1, 2011

In full: A harder course than anticipated and not a PB one unless you're particularly hard core! Great scenery in Clumber Park and very well organised. Love the t-shirt! Date of review: November 1, 2011
