In short: Flat, fast, fun marathon
In full: Lovely, low-key marathon. It was worth running 26.2 miles just to experience the finish at the shinty pitch - well done Lochaber.

In short: Chip timing would ruin it
In full: Perfect marathoning unplugged. Who wants a goody bag full of useless junk anyway? And the 25th anniversary medal just adds to the feeling that the organizers have a true sense of humour; I mean, who'd put on a flat marathon amidst the biggest collection of munros in Scotland? Cheerful young lads and lassies at many of the drinks stations, fab rolling support from the Fetch support crew, glorious weather ... who cares if I had to more or less walk the last 6 miles?

In short: you really have to run this !!!
In full: another stunning day in Lochaber. Chris & i ran it last year & had a wee Possie of about a dozen chatty people behind us. this year it was closer to 30!!! great conversation with loads of strangers & i do owe a big thanks to the Fetch Everyopne support crew. although i was not wearing their running gear they cheered me on & i even had a couple of chats with one of the blonde support crew about the great service we have had in the Footworks running shop in Edinburgh. Marshalls were their usual great self, after run food and drink were exactly what was required, usual goodie bag stuff including a much better medal this year & a great "T" shirt to add to my collection. really can't fault it even though i now have the shape of my footworks running vest scorched onto my body because of the hot weather. already planning next years trip!!!

In short: Can't fault it, great race. Well done Lochaber.
In full: As we have come to expect, Lochaber team put on a great race as usual. I lost it in the heat but then somethings are just beyond even the best organising committee. Wish I could have appreciated the fantastic scenery a bit more at the time.

In short: Great race, great scenery, great people.
In full: Despite suffering cramps in the last 3 miles, I really enjoyed the whole weekend. Definitely worth the trip. The people of Fort William are extremely friendly and its a well organised race.
