In short: Good race with a nice countryside feel once you've left the main roads behind you.
In full: Really enjoyed this race which was my first ever half marathon.Plenty of helpful marshalls and seemed to be pretty well organised. The "sting in the tail" wasn't as bad as i feared originally and i even managed to jog (slowly) up it.See you there in 2010.

In short: Organisation leaves a lot to be desired.
In full: Running out of medals and mute marshalls. Not a great incentive to return. I wont be back.

In short: Nice Race, Nice People, hills !! well organised
In full: run by the local lions club, and the stewards are great (registration staff a bit unfriendly) great race, well worth the effort and nice scenery. I have done it for 2 years and would do it again. PB this year ! there are only two minor critisisms, firstly the tee shirts are only for pre registrations (I can see why but it should be made clear on the RW web site) and secondly the medal is a big let down, if you are doing it for the medal only, go to the fairground and win one on the grabber, it will be better quality. BUT a fantastic little race all round!!

In short: Very good race, good for first timers
In full: First time I've done this race and I'm glad I did. Good conditions, nice scenery and relatively flat, the sting at 12 miles isn't anything to worry about if you're used to hills. Will do this one again next year!

In short: A good half whatever your abillities !!
In full: Had a great time on this course today (my 20th half marathon), it's the perfect tonic for a post marathon run as the course is largely kind on the pins with only 2 or 3 hills worth worrying about (The stinger) at 12 miles didn't seem as bad this year but it still reminds you of your legs and lungs existence tho !!
Overall this race is worth making an effort for and I will health permitting be back next year ( oh aye and the medal wasn't bad neither )
