In short: Steep climbs and plunges are a special test, includes a mix of town, country lanes and trails and still I got a PB!

In short: A toughy but a goody.
In full: I loved the new start area, haven't done it for a few years and it was great to have everything in one place. A really good atmosphere at this race, I really enjoy it.

In full: The course is challenging if you don't like hills but nicely scenic and largely traffic free. The first half is a series of sharp up hills followed by 5 miles of fairly fast down hills. Popular with club runners too. Great organisation and good support at the finish from the crowd. Would recommend next year's race.

In short: Challenging course, very well organised
In full: Good course heading out of watford and into the countryside. Some tough hills but nothing really nasty. Cannot fault the organisation & supportive marshalls

In short: Recommended
In full: Please will you disqualify runners who flout the rules and insist on stuffing their ears with earphones. It's dangerous on open roads, you cut up other runners, can't hear marshals and miss out on race atmosphere. If you don't like the rules, don't blinkin' enter the race!
That aside, this was as impeccably organised as ever by the Harriers. More than enough water stations (2 is plenty for a half), loads of marshals, mile markers bang on, the marquee handled very well and a challenging route with some decent scenery. A little congestion over the finish line but that's easily smoothed out. There are a few hills, including the last shallow grind up to the park, but the downs more than compensate.

In short: This was my first half marathon and i enjoyed it immensely. The pace makers were very useful and encouraging. There was a big crowd, great scenery and a lively atmosphere.
