In short: Super! In full: Fantastic event; excellent organisation and great support all of the way round from the warm people of North Wales. Even the weather was extraordinary this year. Whenever it got tough (and it did!) all it took was a glance around at the stunning scenery... Thanks to all the Marathon Eryri team for this very special event. Date of review: October 28, 2012

In short: 3 Big Hills, arranged around an Even Bigger One In full: Decided to celebrate not being culled (at least for another year) with a weekend in Snowdonia and a first crack at this much-hyped event. It didn't disappoint: stunning scenery (visible this year, which I gather is not a given by any means); a challenging (but not ridiculous) hilly course with 3 sustained climbs, but plenty of downhill on which to recover; almost seamless organisation (the only slight pain was a couple of spots where I had to weave around mini traffic jams); and excellent support (helped by the unusually good weather, but most welcome). Highlight for me was the last mile or so - steep, "technical" downhill on grass and track to the well-supported finish in Llanberis. If you like fell-type stuff, it makes the slog up the final hill well worthwhile. Super race - well done to all involved in putting it on. Date of review: October 28, 2012

In short: Not sure its the best run ever, but its up there !!!! In full: Cracking organisation, the 1st half is awesome, the 2nd half is tiring and the last 5 miles are a killer. Car parking machines weren't working as they were full of money so people were getting parking tickets - shame!! Very friendly marshals and loads of water stations !!! See you next year no doubt - Cane we order the same weather again please?? Date of review: October 28, 2012

In short: This is what it's all about! If you ever wonder why you run, why you should run, sign up & find out... In full: Brilliant race, my third time out so one more for the full set of coasters! First time in the dry & first time to properly catch some of the stunning scenery. Amazing race, really friendly & brilliantly organised. Only downside was the over officious parking attendant - you could give people a break when there are thousands of extra people in town for the day! Date of review: October 28, 2012

In short: Wonderful Run with the most scenic backdrop In full: I love Snowdonia so this was a dream run. Some good hills, nothing too bad apart from the killer at mile 22 which was quicker to walk up which people did. Bit of trail running on the down hills which if the conditions weren't dry could have been a killer if use to road running.
Everything else was great about this race even those who are on FB and Twitter as the communication and athmosphe between runners and organisers was second to none. There were some issues with water stations on the pass as they were still filling the cups but the rest of the route had the most aid stations of any race I've been apart off.
You can race it or take it slow and enjoy the backdrop of the most beautiful place in the UK. Well worth a go. I broke my PB and this was my second marathon. you don't need to be a marathon runner before hand as long as you train hard and correctly. Date of review: October 28, 2012
