In short: 2 laps with hills In full: The organisation was excellent. There was a nice friendly atmosphere. There was a nasty hill which lasted about 1/4 mile and being a two lap race it was a bit depressing having gone up it the first time knowing that it was coming round again. However, easily made up the time on the downhill bits and it was a fast finish, the last mile and a bit being all down hill. Date of review: September 1, 2007
In short: Cracking little 2 lap race In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this race - marshalls cheery and the locals were encouraging. Undid all the good work by stuffing a cheeseburger down my throat afterwards. Date of review: September 1, 2007
In short: one of my all time favourites as it was my first ever race 7 years ago In full: Great afternoon, great race brilliant organisation, but move the smelly burger van please.!!!! We used to beable to buy cakes here! Date of review: September 1, 2007
In short: Overton 5 In full: This course is deceptive. The ascents and descents are quite steep but are short so, although it seems tough to handle, you can run a PB in this race - just keep the faith and it works out. The 4th mile is very slow but the 5th mile is very quick. Date of review: September 1, 2007
In short: brilliant race In full: people moan about this 5 miler but it was actually my first ever run !!!!!!!!! well done overton 2000 in nearly an hour or more no where near thatnow 40 mins hope ful Date of review: August 31, 2007
In short: First race for a few years. Cold day, but the hills kept me warm. One very enthusiastic marshall at the top of the hill - most welcome! Would do the race again to beat my time. Found it a bit 'clubby'. Date of review: November 2, 2006
In short: Great afternoon out despite the rain and wind In full: Well done to the organisers, this was a great race. It's hilly so you're never going to PB here, and it's fast up front as it's the Hants RRL openner, but the start/finish on the village green gives it a very friendly feel.
Answer me this, though. How do you get an officer on every corner, and half the village road closed, for £6 a head (and approx 300 entries)?! Big expensive race organisers take note!! Date of review: September 3, 2006
