In short: Favourite race this year
In full: Absolutely brilliant - so well organized! Many "unofficial" drinks stations on this hot day, plus sports drinks, jelly babies, fresh orange slices. And cakes and beer at the end! Unbeatable.

In full: great event. well organised with excellent medal and goody bag.
Was told about the hills at the end but still not prepared for the last few miles. Was a real challenge but should be attempted.
will be back next year when it will be sunny and warm!

In short: carlsberg dont do races but if they did this would be it ..
In full: wow, what a fantastic race i can only guess that the organisers have looked at the best bits from other races and rolled them all into one and made this race...faultless from the parking, start, the route, water stations, lucozade stations, sweet stations, wet sponge stations, water sprayers, orange stations, fantastic marshalls, great medal and goody bag, beer, cakes, brass band, if you dreamed a perfect race this is it !!! oooh no just thought they missed something.. the topless blonde 38gg cheerleaders station :) oh well maybe next year :) to be serious i cant wait to do this again, what really made my day was meeting fellow ultra picnic runners from last saturday and swapping stories, so glad to hear some done it and some like me who failed, wonderfull race and getting a silver medal has got the feel good factor back in me....

In full: Excellant Organisation as always. With numbers increasing year on year though i feel there is a need to supply more loos- there was a massive queue for the "number two" loos in the school building and in very cramped and smelly conditions! There was also a big queue for the three porter loos at the race start. Please could you consider more loos next year. Also the showers afterwards were not working properly- just a trickle of water from each one not sufficient to get clean after the muddy race- there were lots of moans about this. Let this not detract though from the superbly organised race with friendly marshalls plentiful drink stops, wet sponges and the delcious tea and cakes at the end- despite the rain!

In short: My first but not my last
In full: As someone who has never run more than 8 miles before I decided to get a go and see how at I got.. The course around the lake was beautiful and I managed 10.5 before needing to walk a bit.. Which was handy as the hills had just arrived. excellent pre race info and great friendly marshals with lots of stations.. Finally made itup the last hill to discover my work colleague had made the cakes.. And they were every bit as good as promised .. Perfect cake at the end!!! Looking forward to coming back next year when I'll be more experienced and can run it all

In short: Fantastic event. Small but very well organised. The course is tough but really good fun. Views are great. Would have been even better it it had not rained!

In short: A really fun race with great organisation
In full: Any run that has cake and beer at the end is on to a winner. The event was well organised and had a good friendly atmosphere. I am tempted to give it a go next year - I definitely should try to shave a few minutes off if in better shape!
