In short:
In full: The greatest experience any runner could hope for...but the blue start scrum after a few hundred metres wasn't great and having to literally stop when the road narrowed was very frustrating. I also think I beat the 3.56 RW pacer I was following for the first 3rd of the race...and I did 4.02 so not quite sure what happened there. The atmosphere made for one of the greatest days of my life. I'm sure I'm not the only person wondering what time I could have got if the weather had been a touch cooler.

In short: Fantastic & uplifting can't thank the organisers enough.
In full: After 34 yrs marriage 3 children & 1 granchild this ranks, on a personal level longside. Fantastic organisation from underground to finishline can't thank all involved enough, and the crowds wow just the best. If the world could take this event bottle it & each warring zone sip from it's golden cup, no longer would we have any ill's. Thankyou Virgin.

In short: You can't beat it!
In full: As per other comments it would be great if there was a decent t-shirt on offer at the end ...... I haven't even tried mine on as it's the wrong size :-(

In short: Special race for special people doing amazing things to help those in need.
In full: My second marathon both in London and a great opportunity for running/racing in a very charged atmosphere. You can't get this atmosphere and emotion anywhere else. I did a 3.40 run, 8 minutes faster than previous which included a few walks, wasn't helped by the fact my Garmin failed at the start... I can't believe with everything you get in this race for a mere £28.00 that people moan about the t-shirt, what more do you guys want?

In short: Hot
In full: Terrific organisation, hats off to all the marshalls, St Johns, Waterstation people and everyone involved. Support was great and a great course. T Shirt wasn't the best, it would be nice to have a shirt that could be worn! But the price we pay for this event it's a bargain and there are plenty of shirts to pick from at Excel if you really want one.
I'm determined to get a sub 3 at this event one day so any chance we can move the event a month or so forward so it's a bit cooler?? ;-)

In short: pain and pleasure
In full: Having achieved my 8th sub 3 hour London Marathon puts the icing on the cake. The whole event runs like clockwork. A big thankyou to all the volenteers especially on baggage duty and the water stations.I do miss the cobbled section of the old route which provided a bit of historical interest. Hope the Cutty Sark is reinstated for next year.

In short: Now bitten by the marathon bug
In full: The sheer logistics of this event are mind-boggling and it was flawless. Huge congratulations to the organisers. The crowds are amazing, the course is fast and everything you need is there. Water stations popping up everywhere - thank you Nestle - I NEEDED that water! It seems churlish under the circs to complain about the t-shirt as other reviewers have done -but the ship was spoiled for a ha'penny worth of tar.. Would have been perfect if not for nasty cheap t-shirt...

In short: The crowd support was magnificent, they make the marathon special.
In full: It was hot, but there was lots of water and lots of crowd support. I had my name on my shirt this year and the difference that made was incredible. I ran 26.2 miles with people cheering me on, shouting my name. Thank you. The heat got to me and I would have stopped to walk if it hadn't been for the crowd. The scenery in the last few miles (and crossing Tower Bridge) was amazing. But I'll say the same as last year, the finishers' t-shirts are awful. I thought last year's t-shirt was pathetic, this year's non-descript shirt is terrible. I may have got the t-shirt, but I won't be wearing it. I'll be back next year, it is a great event.

In short: Fantastic event
In full: My first marathon and iot was everything I thought and more. Excellent organisation, super course, unbelievable support. Truly magnificent.
Due to the heat my plans went awry after about 9 miles. Concentrated on getting to the finish without caring about the time. Loved every minute and learnt a hell of a lot in the process.
