In short: A Must Do 10k race
In full: You dont get many bigger fields for a 10k race unless you pay silly money for a "Premium" event. A cracking course, clockwork organisation, great atmosphere and good chance of a PB are enough to make this a excellent value and a Must Do race.

The two motorway bridges provide a real sting in the tail towards the end of an otherwise flat course, and the long finish straight lined with spectators encourages most runners into an exctiting sprint finish!

I always prefer a medal after a race, but even I have to admit to being pretty chuffed with the embroidered commemorative towel! This race isnt hugely popular without good reason.

In short: Well done Spectrum Striders!
In full: The course twists and turns a bit and the 3 climbs are longer than you might have expected but this is still a definite pb course.

Really well organised before, during and after the race.

Support was a bit spartan for the most part (the first half is mainly through a business park) but there was a really good straight flat finish with excellent support.

The towel was a very good and practical momento, and the ladies seemed delighted with the flowers they received in addition - a nice touch.

Well worth doing.

In short: A good, fast course, shame i had too many beers the day before!1
In full: Definate PB potential but i didn't exactly prepare the best way! Only complaint would be the lack of portaloos, and the awkward security guards in the adjacent shopping centre stopping runners from using the toilets there.
