In short: Poor organisation
In full: The weather conditions were a challenge, however, the lack of road signs, the decisions on the day (putting out mile markers - changing 3k to 5K), and the poor commentary were inexcusable. An organisation is measured by how they cope with problems, and this one didn't do well. I have listened to the organiser's explanations on the forum, but felt that some of the criticisms were not properly addressed.

In short: Snow made it all the more fun!
In full: Yes it was heavy snow this year although surely that's what running is all about, i.e. tackling the conditions head on?

A memorable day if only for the weather!

In short: Missed it & Missed Out - Hope the Organisers Learn from it
In full: Snow & dreadful conditions were forecast in plenty of time for the organisers to either post web information, phone message information or POSTPONE. Roads were blocked, it should have been cancelled. Completely unable to get any pre-race information and travelled long distance. Really disappointed, have previously run this track several times and love the course, will be back in the future for this reason and hope the problems of this year (coupled with Brooklands 08 issues)are sorted out - come on 2:09 events, surely our fee could stretch to an answer-machine message??

In short: Shame about the snow
In full: This was an improvement on the Brooklands 10k by these people. Well done to the Marshalls for braving the cold and that the event went ahead. Question why do you get mileage markers when you are doing kilometres? Better than nothing though. It would be wrong to be too critical of this race given the weather, but did lack any atmostphere.

In short: snow snow snow
In full: I agree with others that this race should probably have been postponed due to the terrible weather conditions. But is was FUN despite the arctic conditions. I am still wondering if it was a bit longer than 10k though. I know I am slow but .....

In short: This race should have been cancelled.
In full: Couldn't get there as roads had not been gritted. Unless you live fairly close to Dunsfold it was impossible to get to. There was no information on the website and feel that I have wasted rather a lot of money on something that should have been cancelled. Also entered my daughter into the 3k and she was very disappointed not to be able to get there. Needs better information in future.

Still they made a fiar bit of profit from people not being able to turn up!!

In short: BEWARE! This race was badly organized, presented and it costs!
In full: 2008 Race.....After my review (see below "It has all the atmosphere of a Soviet Labour Camp.."),I logged on to get my result. Not only did the placing of 208 runners wearing chips take 2 days to process, the website table is a joke. Organizers, take a look at The Park Run Organizers(Bushy,Richmond etc.)and see how they publish and categorize hundreds within three hours every Saturday. And its free. You charge money for a race with no Km markers,no atmosphere or warmth at the start,no intelligent commentary at the end,one water table and you call yourselves professional race organizers.None of this had to do with the weather- this could have been turned to your advantage. Its time for the running community who are paying more and more for the "privilege" of events like this to say enough is enough. If anyone does this in 2009,prepare to be ripped off.

In short: Snow made it difficult but novel. Everything looks pretty in snow.
In full: This was my 1st 10k. I'll certainly never forget it. The conditions made it a real challenge. Will probably do it again next year and hope for more favourable weather. Well done to all those hardcore runners who battled through the blizzard.

In short: Well done to 2:09 for making sure this went ahead.
In full: The weather was terrible, however, fortunately the organisers decided the event should still go ahead. I firmly believe they made the right decision and that they coped well in difficult circumstances. Thanks to all at 2:09.
