In short: Great race, great value, great organisation
In full: What can I say apart from well done to all concerned for a great race.

Well organised start and as someone said the band certainly gave it a little edge over many standard starts.

Course itself is challenging without being daunting. Mostly gently uphill with a couple of steeper downhill sections. Its a road race through mostly open roads so expect some traffic but all drivers appeared to be very friendly and gave way appropriately.

Marshalls were frequent, supportive and very good. Other races take note.

Limited spectators around course due to weather but made up fr it with support.

Finishing downhill for last mile is great and running towards noise of band gives an addrenalin boost.

Goody bag outstanding especially give cost of race.

Will be back to enjoy this unusual distance next year and many others ought to too!

In short: Hard work but great atmosphere
In full: Oh the hills, the hills...

My first time for a 9-miler, so a guaranteed PB - but regardless, beat my target time too. Some of the uphills were a bit daunting, and the weather could have been just a little drier. But really appreciated the way supporters and band alike gave such great support to us plodders at the back.

In short: Hard race - great band - good marshalls
In full: This was the second time I had run this race - last year it was a lovely day; today was drizzly and a bit windy. But we all soldiered on undaunted.

I love having the band at the start/finish line - there's nothing like starting to Chariots of Fire and finishing to Jimi Hendrix!

As another has already said, please can we have the first water stop earlier?

And is that last mile really a mile - if so then I'm flabbergasted at running it in 5:02 (and yes I do know it's downhill!)

In short: Brilliant
In full: Excellent race over varied terrain - got to be PB material as you'll never run this distance anywhere else! Well marshalled and organised. Parked cars amd service vehicles rather impeded the start but that's a minor niggle
