In short: Muddy but fun!
In full: Appalling weather, but beautiful scenery and encouraging marshalls. Great race if you ignore the mud!

In short: Minus 2 & driving sleet - nearly went home but thought of what lifeboat crews face.
In full: The only 10k I've ever run in a fleece waterproof jacket hat gloves & scarf ! All credit to the marshals to keep smiling & encouraging us- they looked the part in their yellow jackets. Much appreciated mulled wine & mince pie at the end as hypothermia threatened . I think it would be v picturesque in different circumstances with the possibility of a PB.

In short: wet, muddy, windy and a lot of puddles. But I loved it! (specially the melt wine afterwards)

In short: Pretty challenging, asp. in the wet!
In full: Not a PB race, a good tester for a 10K, a few inclines and gravel paths. A good challenge.

In short: Very wet, muddy and the "slight incline" was steep!
In full: This was my first 10k. I had a pacemaker fitted in June this year. This was my big challenge and it was a real challenge. To run up and down that hill twice was mentally tough however all the marshalls encouraged you all the way around and despite some terrible weather I am totally hooked. The other runners made me feel really welcome and I am already entering other 10k's. Great run and there are some flat bits to catch your breath after the hill.

In short: almost a x country, tough climb, muddy, challenging.
In full: lashing rain and strong wind coupled with the mountain climb made it not one for the faint hearted.
I like this race as it's so different to a normal road race. Nobody could expect a PB here if you're looking for that stick to flat roads.

In short: Challenging circuit that would be tough on a nice day, add a bit of wind and rain into the mix and you've got a fun event !

In short: Ignore the rain, mud, 3 inch puddles and gales and you'll be fine, right up until the hill. Then you'll wonder why you do it.
