In short: Fantastic race!
In full: Weather couldn't have been better and the atmosphere was terrific with bands playing and crowds continuously cheering participants on. Wonderfully flat route - good for personal best. Well organised and a great goodie bag at end. Brilliant from start to finish.

In short: First time runner and was impressed. The weather was fantastic and made for a very quick race (1hr 11 mins 13 secs)
In full: I thought the wave system was a great success and the start was not very congested! I agree with people's comments re the mile markers....I missed about half! Only sour note was being issued a parking ticket at one of the "free, closed to runners" car parks, apparently shoppers were parking there so they started to issue tickets to everyone. Anyway hopefully the appeal is successful!

Definately be back next year!

In short: Great organisation & amazing atmosphere!
In full: Brilliant organised- wave structure very good in seperating the serious athletes from the fun runners.

In short: Only complaint is about the low mile markers, was desperately searching for 4-mile mark when I stumbled on the 6-mile mark, otherwise very good

In short: Top Event
In full: White wave - felt pretty uncrowded although I did overtake a number of people from the first wave, which surprised me with my own time of 1:37 (slowish, I know but quite an achievement for me). Friendly and inspiring atmosphere - both crowd and fellow runners. However, as others have commented, it's a shame how rude a small minority of people remain as they barge their way through. Surprised to read that some thought it windy - a little breeze would have been very welcome towards the end as I felt in danger of overheating. By far the most enjoyable run of my relatively short running career which has started in my middle youth. A massive thank you to the organisers - can't wait for next year.

In short: Organisation was faultless
In full: Superb marshalling and race organisation, but not a race for runners, I'm only average but spent 1 1/4 hrs on an obstacle course, hats off to charity fund-raisers, I know how hard it can be, but club runners should be placed in a front wave behind the elite. Still, worth the experience, goody bag quite impressive as freebies go.

In short: A well organised and mostly scenic race
In full: Brilliantly organised even this year, which timing chips really helping. Enough people running to make it an exciting atmosphere but not too many that you can't run. A bit depressing when you head into the estates but running along the sea front and around the naval base, seeing the old ships, is very good. Well worth doing, especially if you are new to distance running and/or want to step up to half marathons.
