In short: Sheffield is hilly, but very welcoming, and the Don Valley Stadium is a great start/finish venue.
In full: This was my first ever Half Marathon a year ago, and I came back for more.

It is a very welcoming event and the organisation is smooth and professional. This year, the goody bag was excellent (a reusable kit bag thing). The only request I would make is for some form of chip mat at the halfway point for split times and water in bottles. I cannot drink from cups and run!

I hope to be back in 2011.

In short: Fantastic race capped off by a wonderful atmosphere all the way around the coursee.
In full: A big well done all the organisers this is the best half marathon I have done. The organisation was first class from start to finish. The course has been well thought out taking in a lot of the sights of Sheffield centre whilst keeping it relatively flat for Sheffield. The support is brilliant with noise being made for the entire route and and a great finish in don valley stadium.

In full: Very well put together through out, excellent support, excellent marshals and volunteers.
Water in small bottles would have been easier, very good medal & goody bag.

In short: Brilliantly organised, practically flat course and a great atmosphere...
In full: ...can't fault it!

Kudos to Sheffield for organising a fantastic race. By Yorkshire standards the course is practically flat - the biggest climbs was about 150 feet over half a mile and the second half was all downhill. It was lined throughout with supportive crowds, including musicians and cheer squads. I was glad not to be wearing an iPod so I could really soak up the atmosphere.

I followed the advice in the race pack and arrived just before 8am. The organisation was spotless: loads of loos, ample parking, and the most efficient bag storage I've ever seen at a city race. The volunteers to dechip the shoes were a welcome touch.

There was water roughly every 3 miles and a sponging station, water and Powerade at mile 10. I'm sure some people will complain that the water was in cups not bottles, but given how many practically full bottles of Powerade got thrown away after a mouthful, I'd say cups are the right move.

Thanks to the organisers and volunteers for a great event - and a special thank you to Erica the sports masseuse, who looked after my calves so well after the race!

In short: well put together event -good support pretty much all the way round
In full: Every thing good although getting parked took for ever.
Interesting quite hilly course - the first time I have run through an underground car park. Great support on the course and lots of water and marshalls. Strange finish going into and then out of the stadium but a good fast final blast on the track. Nice medal, well stocked goodie bag and a tshirt.
Thanks for a good event Sheffield.
