In short: Very well organised
In full: Achieved a PB despite the weather. It was great to have accurately placed KM markers, which is not always the case. Organisation very good and was a very friendly event. Was great fun to run on the track and makes a change from the hilly races I have been doing lately. On a better day (weatherwise) would be almost impossible not to do a PB.

In short: No PB here today, tough weather conditions made it a great accomplishment just to finish. The race went off well in spite of the stingy rain. Viewing your official time after the race only worked if your number stayed on during the race. Mine
In full: had enough half-way down the backstretch with about a mile to go. Well done to everyone who gritted this one out, great job! It wasn't clear where the hot tubs were after, would have been nice to warm up after wards. I heard the Dualathon announcer provide more clarity to the field during their pre-race meeting, but didn't hear anything about it during the pre-race meeting for the 10K. It also seemed the sponsors were a little behind setting up before the race so I didn't choose to check out their offerings, plus afterwards it was quite nippy in their tents and with no heat in there, so I went somewhere to get warm instead. I might run it next year, but might wait and sign up on the day depending on if weather conditions seem less severe.

In short: A well organised 10k with chip timing and friendly race host.
In full: Had a great race despite the weather. Managed to get within a minute of my PB in the terrible wet and windy conditions so this one is definitely PB potential for next year. You can't help the weather but the organisation can make or break an event. Fortunately the organisation was great and everything went like clockwork. Inspite of the conditions everyone seemed happy and with the chip timing the results were available straight away at the finish.
A big well done to organisers and runners alike for putting up with the weather with a smile.

In short: Shame the weather spoilt such a well-organised, potentially pb race!
In full: It is great fun running around a race circuit BUT oh! the wind and rain! I ran my PB here last year but no such luck today, only 2 minutes slower though! - the wind was aggressive on the outward stretch!Well done to anyone achieving a PB. A well organised race and a great goody bag-it was good to see your chip-timed results on the big-screen too!! Definitely a regular fixture for me!

In full: One of the best organised races I have done. Good facilities and very welcoming atmosphere.Great touches:

T shirt and useable stuff in goody bag
Loads of parking.
No real complaints, might have got PB if the weather hadnt been awful!

In short: Excellently organised - shame the weather couldn't be sorted!
In full: The organisation of the race was faultless, fellow nutters who ran in the wind & rain were all very friendly. I will definitely be back.

In short: Absolutely lousy weather ruined a good race
In full: Strong winds and rain ruined the race, and not too many people turned up this year. However, it was well organised and the circuit, (short loop and then three laps of the race track is great. Personally, three laps is the perfect number for any race - one to find your way, two to let it sink in and then a final hard lap. You cannot see the whole lap at any point, so it does not get demoralising, and it is a lightly rolling course with varied sections, but not quite hilly. Given a wind less than 50mph it could be quick, (and it still was quick for the winners - supermen!) I will come here next year, hoping for a sunny March day, and maybe a PB.

In short: Probably The Wettest, Windiest, Coldest Race I've Ever Done
In full: And that was just the warm up lap - just the one, couldn't face anymore! Circuit potentially fast on a warmer, dryer but more importantly less wondy day - very exposed - its a motor racing circuit afterall.
Excellent cafe facilities - much needed dryness for today! Enthusiastic organiser, commentator, and participants (you had to be to go out in today's weather.

In short: Despite horrendous weather it went like clockwork
In full: Big events could learn from this. Number had pre-entered runners' names on. Chips and straps for the chips both issued on the day. Results available a stroll from the finish, overall, gender and category. Well marshalled. Okay, it's a race circuit, it's three laps but on a good day a pb is almost certain. It's never going to be picnic material but it's not bad if you could see through today's driving rain. The wind was constant, sometimes a plus others not on this very exposed course. Duchtubs not being used much outside in the force 10 but understandable and heaven help the souls doing both the 10k and the duathlon, especially with the cool down in between. Great vfm goody bag,(Water bottle, food, energy stuff and t-shirt...)almost overload and would personally swop for medal, towel etc but hey, they did well. Journey to and parking at the venue straightforward. This race has great potential and deserves more, much more support. I will be back. Catering facilities adequate but tea and coffee could both be stronger for my palate would be my one big build

In short: Despite horrendous wind and rain, still smashed my PB!
In full: Because of the weather there wasn't really any spectators to egg you on except for some friends that stuck the weather out! But I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to run around the circuit to get a feel for the whole course as driven at numerous events. And to be able to smash my PB in rain and strong wind, means that it is an exceptionally quick course where who knows what time you could achieve in perfect conditions....
