In short: They don't mention the hills in the advert
In full: Tough race considering the weather we had at the beginning but once over the hill nice comfortable finish

In short: Challenging run on Salisbury Plain
In full: There is something vaguely Shakespearian about being out on the blasted heath in the driving wind and rain, and the madness is that we keep coming back for more ! Great race of 2 halves - uphill to 5k including a tough push up Sidbury Hill, then fast second half mostly downhill. Atrocious weather conditions before the race but still lot's of fun. Excellent organisation and a good cause.. (small gripe / request for next year; please have some official timings. I am sure you will get more runners if you do)

In short: A great (if not soggy) run.
In full: My second year. Enjoyed from start to finish including the weather. My only comment would be that perhaps some shelter for runners and families at the start finish line would have been nice but being soaked before the start made it fun. Previous posters (Richardson) should realise that organisation is all done by volunteers and that the odd mistake is not to be criticised heavily.

In short: Worth getting out of bed for
In full: I run most of the route weekly but found that some of the runners lacked in manners. Wouldnt move out of the way when walking which then either forced you to walk or you had to go back and forth across the trail. Very frustrating. Also was stopped by the police when trying to cross the main road when they decided to let the cars threw. It then let everone catch up who you had just passed, and you lost your momentum. The route was excellent and loved the hills!

In short: Warm-up act at the start turned it into a bit of a pantomime. But the race itself was excellent.
In full: Horrendous conditions. Driving rain and bursts of strong wind made you wonder what on earth you were doing here! But very well organised - army did a good job. Sadly no crowds to cheer you on (partially because of the weather but also because you're running over MOD land), so not a course for people who need applause. Idiot warm-up bloke misread the situation entirely. Firstly it was soaking and we just wanted to get going. Secondly, his warm up was entirely inappropriate for distance running. Much eye rolling and groaning. Hopefully he will not be back next year, but I will!

In short: Grear Race
In full: 3KM fun run before the 10 KM was great for children and well timed to allow families to enter both events. Main 10KM event was well marshalled and organised. Would do this again. Well done 215 HQ & Sigs Sqn!!

In short: Nice sense of achievement over this challenge course. Hands up, though, who wanted to murder the charity starter for making us do 3 minutes of star jumps in the freezing wind and rain!
