In short: Tough but rewarding
In full: Excellent run and great fun. Was the last mile really a mile? Great off road running. Very good marshals who were very encouraging. The soup was very welcoming at the end although the recovery truck getting stuck at the exit to the car park wasn't! Be nice to have team prizes next time

In short: Excellent run helped by the good weather
In full: Brilliant run with great scenery and well marshalled. Not sure about the certificate. Will definitely do it again next year.

In short: Hard! Very Hard!
In full: I have read other reports so far and I am begining to think I was on another course!

I found the hills a real challenge and the course overall very though. Still managed a good 1.55mins. The scenery was excellent and I also saw the deer jumping over the path, very impressive.

Enjoyed the day, not sure about the certificate!

In short: Good atmosphere, scenic course, well marshalled ,but a bit pricey
In full: I entered on a last minute whim, not having run this far for 9 months or so, but really enjoyed it.Scenery and organisation were excellent, and the course was interesting rather than difficult (apart from the hill at 10mi).Although the soup went down a treat,it still seemed quite pricey for a low key event-finishing certificates are a bit of a cop out for a memento.

In short: A brilliant Race!!
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this race and will definately be doing it again, despite the fact my car was stuck in car park for quite some time after the race. You can't blame the organisers though. They could not have foreseen this problem as the field did not look in the least bit boggy on entering. The majority of the delay was caused by the pick-up truck called to retrieve a stuck car, which ended up getting stuck itself.
The atmosphere, the people and the marshalling was second to none. One marshall in particular (i think she may also have been registering) was really uplifting. I suppose my only slightly negative comment would be regarding the entry fee, which i think was pretty high in comparison to other races. A t-shirt might have helped justify the cost. But apart from that, thanks for a great race and see you next year.

In short: Lovely views through the new forest... great for a training run.
In full: Starts uphill from the High Corner Inn and follows grass/trail through the New Forest to about 5.5 miles where it switches to road for about 4 miles, and then you're back onto tracks basically to the end. Well organised, mile markers were placed at 2, 4, 7, 9 and 12 miles, and there were enough bottled water stations to keep you going (despite the race instructions to be self-sufficient for the first half). Last 1.1 miles were long according to my Garmin but my half marathon time didn't suffer too much from the terrain, nor the long course overall (again, according to my Garmin! 13.3m). Soup and roll at the end very welcome. Great race thank you! And the hills weren't too bad...

In short: Views to die for and free homemade soup! Perfect!
In full: Gr8 start - pub!! Highly organised. Very friendly, helpful and encouraging organisers and marashals. Tough uphill slogs but with fab views as a reward. Had a herd of deer (antlers n all!) charge across the path within 5m of me - bit scary but what a thrill! Lots of ponies, donkeys and cattle wandering - around very scenic! Parking plentiful although some people got bogged down in one of the fields and the organisers - bless them - had a tow truck turn up to help before the runners even came in from the race! How helpful is that?! Well done guys - looking forward to next year! Amazing soup and fresh warm rolls!
PS - I got a pb - so I'm well happy!(Not hard as only 2nd half!!)
