In short: Fantastic organisation and a muddy, fun race
In full: The organisation was brilliant, I would definitely do another 2:09 event. All the marshalls were great too, and I found the course itself really enjoyable. The puddles and mud were more than I've had on a run before, but it was great fun! The goodies at the end were brilliant too, a medal after crossing the line and then help-yourself selections of milkshakes, water, oat bars and proper energy gels. Also getting an official print-out of your time just seconds after crossing the line was an added bonus. You can't ask for more! A huge thanks to all the officials involved. I would definitely do this again.

In short: fun, friendly, and full of fantastic marshals
In full: My first time here, and would recommend it to any one. The mud and puddles were less than I had anticipated, so was really surprised underfoot, and being a shorty, had no difficulty with the low bridges.
Thanks to all.

In short: Always a great start to the new year. Mike & 2:09's organisation as meticulous as ever. Well done!
In full: A change of route from previous years. I actually preferred this year's route, although it was slightly shorter and more away from the canal I found it very enjoyable. I'm glad the really heavy rain kept off. The course was wet and muddy but then again what do you expect in January. Once you had waded through that big puddle early on you weren't going to worry about the rest! Put me down for next year!

In short: Fun but with lots of mud
In full: This is the first time i have done this one -so overall after the last minute route changes all went rather well. Great marshalls all had a smile and words of encouragement. Was fun but canal was very muddy.
