In short: Better Pud Than Last Year !!
In full: What better way to build up to Christmas than this beast! Up, Up, Up then down - Still can't work out which was easier! Fabulous scenery throughout. Could use a water station at some stage. One of my favourite races!

In short: Excellent
In full: Run is 5miles of gradual inclines -with some flats inbetween, and from 5 miles is down hill.

The organisation is excellent and all are made welcome, irrespective of experience.

Marshalls are good and encouraging especially on the last hill at 4-5mile mark.

Plenty of refreshments before and after. Its worth doing

In short: Very tough going up, easy coming down!
In full: Having read the 2004 revues, I can now confirm that they are pretty accurate. This is a pretty tough 7 miler, uphill for most of the first 4+ miles, downhill the rest. Great scenery and a nice big Christmas Pud at the end. If you want to do something a little more challenging than a Great Run 10K, then try this one!.

In short: Total ascent 225 metres, mostly in 1st 4 miles with one steep climb of 60m up to the highest point at 4 miles. Glorious scenery helps you forget about the climb. Recommended. 1lb Xmas pud well earned!

In short: Again a struggle over the hills.
In full: Despite the hills, where even the downhills were a struggle for me, a good race to do.

Well organised and marshalled.

I'll be there next year.

In short: Lovely country lanes, uphill to halfway, downhill back to finish. Views of distant hills are stunning, especially on a bright, crisp winter's day.
