In short: A great multi-terrain race that has pretty much everything,apart from the river this year.Would make an ideal 1st time off roader for the beginner.Thanks to all the marshalls who were very encouraging!

In short: Usual well organised off-road race
In full: This was my 4th time of doing this race. A lot muddier this year thanks to the overnight rain. Off-road shoes were essential. Shame about no river crossing, but otherwise perfect - lots of mud made it slippery but not stupidly ankle-deep. It's a nice course without any contrived detours; you get muddy enough on the paths. One of my favourite races of the year.

In short: A super run through varied and beautiful scenery
In full: I was a little apprehensive as it was my first multiterrain run. Once I had got used to the fact that I was going to be ankle deep in mud for half the time I had a brilliant time. The route is challenging enough to make you feel like your working really hard but friendly enough for a virtual novice like myself. The course is a great mix of countryside, road and tow paths. The officials are very friendly and encouraging and the tea and mince pies afterwards are very welcome. I'll make sure this one's in my diary for next year.

In short: Multi-terrain at it's best!
In full: 2nd time for this race and almost a minute quicker than my first attempt (maybe due to lack of river crossing). Excellent organisation, well marshalled, varied scenery and terrain, incl tarmac, woodland tracks, grass, puddles, mud and mud but, sadly, due to torrential rain the night before, no river to cross, which made myself, Jimmy Cliff and others a little disappointed - albeit a little drier!

In short: If you like to roll around in mud this is the place to be.
In full: The earlier start time (good reaction to comments from last year) was better for car parking and gives an earlier finish.
It was very well organised and the decision not to go through the river correct.
Well done and thanks to all involved.

In short: 10/10
In full: Well what a fantastic race. really enjoyed myself. Torrential rain the night before meant we were unable to cross at the river crossing but made the terrain 'interesting':{
to say the least. Well-organised baggage storage with the 'footwash' near the finish (ie the river)! Great organisation and thought with someone even running the course earlier in the morning to mark any hazzards with bright orange marker. WELL DONE AVR!!

In short: Enjoyable race with lovely scenery & very few tarmac sections. We certainly experienced our fair share of mud! Lots of friendly marshals & cheering supporters. I will definitely be back again!
