In short: Hilly or what!
In full: Really enjoyed the race, but just far too hilly for me personally. Hope to be back next year, another 12 months experience under my belt, but right now, am shattered. Congratulations to all you guys who ran up the hills and for us lot at the back, thanks for all the support and camaraderie- much appreciated. Nice pint of Theakstones in the club house after!

In short: Very good organisatio, very scenic course, nice T-shirt and an extremely good workouut for a sunday morning
In full: It started and finished in the same way: Hilly. I had been warned this was not for the faint hearted! A glorious race, if you have the energy to look around. This is the hardest 10km i have done, but am happy with a respetable time of 44 minutes. It just felt that you were either going up or down a hill all the time, the only flat section was the sprint to the finish line. I have never come across a course with so few flat sections, which for me made it hard as i didn't feel i could relax on the downhill sections as some were very very steep. A super race all the same, great organisation, beautiful scenery and the cold lager this afternoon tastes even more sweet after a good sunday moring stroll(????!!) Thankyou, will be abck next year to beat my time, with that little more experience.

In short: It could have been so much better!
In full: The race/route itself is fine - the marshalls on the course were great!

The start was a shambles - who decided they needed to put out a table full of boxed t-shirts to make the narrow start even narrower and the less said about the bloke constantly mouthing off about 'no pacemakers' the better.

I also hear that the ladies toilets were out of toilet roll and when some of our runners mentioned it to one of the organisers, they were told 'yeh! we know'. We all know that we can run short of toilet roll but the main sponsor of the event (Fitness First) also shares the same venue - surely they could have helped out and donated a roll for a good cause!!

Goodie bag was really promised much but only delivered a t-shirt!

In short: Quite a tough hilly course
In full: Enjoyable race but I need more practice on hilss as way below my PB.

A lot of it is on roads that traffic is also trying to use although there are plenty of marshalls at key places.

The only real logistical issue is that cars have to leave the rugby club complex via the same lane that contains the finishing funnel and spectators so it can get congested and possible off putting to those runners still coming in as others are leaving by car.

In short: Undulating !!! Bloody Hilly
In full: Bit of a bottle neck at the start, so if your not at the front your time will suffer. Although not a race for a PB. Undulating for the first mile with a killer hill around 2 miles. Another big hill round mile 3, but then a good mile and a half of down hill before it flattens out for a mile or so before a small downhill stretch and a flat 200 metre finish. If you can put the effort in for the first 3 miles, you'll get a bit of a breather before the flat run in.
