In short: Great event - but very difficult course!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed it again. Seemed even harder this year and I was 2 minutes slower! Same lack of direction at same point as last year (see my comments below) but I knew the way this time! Only serious issue for the organisers to sort for next year was the first drink station at 4 miles which was just being set up half an hour into the race - so no drinks till 6 miles plus. Still a nice event and I'll do it again.

In short: Oh those hills!
In full: I did this last year as part of a marathon training plan and managed 1:38. This year I was clearly not as well prepared as I found the first hills tough and the the next tougher. The down hill through the wood is great fun but the mud at the bottom of the hill just drained my legs. The two down pours kept me cool and I guess that I am not too unhappy with 1:43 (ish).

In full: Hardest half Ive done but proud to say I didnt walk any of it. Beautiful scenery. Well worth doing but probably wouldnt recommend it for a first half.

In short: Well done to all who organise this race!
In full: Enough said about the hills, this is a challenging race and made all the more special by the organisers. To set up the run on a rainy day like today and stand there getting soaked for 2 hours gets my praise any day! Sorry to here that there was some confusion at one junction,i have done this run before so can,t say i noticed. The mug is a nice souvenier and i will do this one again if possible.(p.s i am in no way connected with the organisers, just giving credit when things are done right!)

In short: A great event only marred by a lack of marshalls at crossroads at 10.5 mile mark meaning some runners had to wait until someone appeared who'd done it before!
