In full: Parking could be better organised and qucker. Chip timings need to be sent out as they held everyone up at the start as queues were not dealt with quick enough

In short: A very good racing day
In full: This was my second Tewkesbury Half, and for the second year in a row, we were graced by near perfect weather conditions. The atmosphere was nice as usual, and the organisation was satisfactorily. I agree with other comments about the problem of traffic: I saw a tractor just driving along the runners absolutely ignoring them, as if thet weren't there. Also, at one point, a van just pulled in in between the runners, I was just behind it and I had to move to the right hand side of the road to avoid breathing in the fumes. This is something the organisation should definitively look into for next year. Apart from this, I had a great day, done a PB, so I was very pleased. I would definitively recommend it to first timers.

In short: Really enjoyed .
In full: I had heard of issues from the 2008 event but can report that 2009 from my experience was good. No major problems. Being a tail ender and running back through the town to the finish was a little troublesome, you just had to take care. Weather was very warm but more than enough water. A cracking little half marathon. I'd do it again.

In short: Vastly better than 2008, but still not great
In full: The revised route was much better this year, meaning less chaos running along the high street, and no neverending run through the park at the end! Ample water stations, very good support all along, but why was traffic before the start directed through the town, and not the bypass (causing needless gridlock with the roadworks), and still problems with some traffic - saw one runner cut up by a turning caravan, and running past Tescos roundabout was a bit dicey, especially with no marshall there to help stop traffic!!
However, weather was beautiful, and much cooler than last year, and this is on it's way to becoming a top race...

In short: Better than last year
In full: There were a few hiccups - for example, why not mail the chip with the race number? That would get rid of the huge queues. Why, on another hot day, weren't there any sponges? Still, at least there seemed to be enough water. The new course is much better than last year's, although the schlep up to Kemerton was a hard grind.

In full: They could do with closing the roads during the race as the impatient motorists were quite off putting, and the fumes!!

In short: Great improvement on last year. Organisers saw what was wrong and got it right!
In full: Marshalling and water stations were superb. Plenty of water and encouragement. Goody bag was nice touch at the end.
