In short: Good mix of terrain and very encouraging marshalls.
In full: First time I have done this race and would definitely do it again.

The marshalls were well placed throughout the course and were very encouraging.

I felt it was a good mix of roads, fields, woodland, and a few hills. If only I had enough breath to appreciate it!

Loved the medal and the two musicians playing Blues Brothers (?) music at the start and finish. Nice touch. Well done.

Only downside was the wait for the ladies loo, as one was broken. Could have been a bit stressful if you didn't have much time.

In short: Great 10K excellent course which has everything, well organised, top medal and encouraging marshals.
In full: This is a great 10K the route and course are excellent with a good variety of terrain and surfaces including the railway bridge.2nd time i have done this and the marshalls are all very encouraging and the race is very well organised with predicted time pens at the start line. Its a shame that some people start in the wrong pens and you end up overtaking some of the slower runners during the race and they should be more realistic about their ability. The medal is great, nice goody bag and Banana at the end and will be back next year.Well done again Petts wood runners.

In short: Missed out on the goody bag
In full: Sadly only one ladies toilet working, but as I spent about 15 minutes waiting to use it, I didn't have to stand around just waiting for the race to start instead!
I really appreciated the "holding pens" for the different time finishers.
The marshalls were fabulous, so encouraging, I tried to thank them for their enthusiasm but lack of breath hindered me.
The hills were hard work, although shouldn't have been as I run them regularly.
I was concentrating so hard on getting round that I almost missed the scenery - absolutely gorgeous. Runner's World magazine couldn't find a better picture than Hawkwood/Petts Wood in autumn!
The organisation of the overall race seemed excellent. My only negative of the day was that I totally missed the goody bag (was there one? Once I was walking home I noticed people with Sweatshop bags so I'm not sure if they just bought stuff or they were bags of freebies). I put it down to my haste in getting to Petts Wood station in time for the next train home - thank goodness South Eastern were running well for a change!.
The medal is lovely, aesthetically one of the best I've received.
Thank you to the organisers and Petts Wood Runners & marshalls for a great race. I will definitely be back next year and meanwhile will practice on those hills some more!

In short: LOVE IT - one of my favs. Great marshals
In full: I love his race. It's in my dairy every year. Challenging. Fun. Support. Organisation. All top draw. Weather held off and the terrain was just right, gave the legs a work out. Got a PB on this run. THANK YOU all who organised it. The SES will be back again. Such a nice gong too.

In full: This seemed more of a challenge this year than last year for some reason but it was still an enjoyable race! Organisation was great, the marshalls were encouraging and the course was a good mix of terrains! The medal is impressive and stands out in my growing collection. Even the predicted rain stayed away too!
