In short: Beautiful course but not enough vibes and baggage a shambles
In full: No run through Hyde Park could really fall flat on its feet but this could have done with some more music and more support from the crowds. The baggage situation at the end was absolutely shocking - you'd have to have real cunning to divise a fiasco like that.
Still well worth it, Hyde Park saved the day.

In short: OK, but give me a small club-organised race any day.
In full: If you like the idea of waving your hands in unison in a mass warmup, you'll love this.

Expensive entry - most club 10Ks are under £10, without all that sponsorship and free advertising on the BBC.

Organisation was OK but saw a few people being impeded by pedestrians on the final straight. Still, the start pens were good, and well done to the first-aiders who were straight on the scene with a casualty near the finish before I'd even had time to get help - hope he's OK.

OK course - some narrow points and tight turns which were awkward even without big crowds around me.

And they're a bit slow getting the results up on the site.

Fundamentally, if you like this kind of thing is fun, you really need to join a club.

In short: Excellent first 10k
In full: This was my first 10k so I didn't know what to expect but the weather was kind and I managed to run (well jog!) all the way round. Could have done with a water station a bit nearer the start but apart from that it was excellent. Great support all the way round and especially at the end and to top it all I managed it in 10 mins less than anticipated.

In short: God fun but not special. Not as well organised as some but much better than last year.
In full: this is a fun dya, wiht a picnic at Hyde Park, but not the best organised and not quite enough runners to be overly special as a day. Good first charity run thouhg and better organisation wiht more water this year than before a big improvement on last year.

In short: Great fun at the Great Run - if you didn't have a bag...
In full: Agree with everything written here. Overall a great race.

The goody bag, size of the event and atosphere made the £22 price tag worthwhile. Good quality t-shirt, medal and a few other bits and pieces. A banana would have been welcomed though.

Baggage situation was a joke but should be resolvable for future races. The course narrowed more than the Nike 10K, causing all sorts of bottle-necks and jumping the metal barriers.

I hope they are open to learning the one or two lessons outlined here, perhaps from the organisers of the Nike 10K.

In short: Great race apart from the baggage problems
In full: I thought the race was really good. I do wish the organisers had advised in advance that the baggage would be left open, unsecure and unmanned which was not great. Otherwise a really good day.

In short: A great day for runners of all abilities
In full: This year's run foiled the bad weather predictions and was warm and humid, rather than rainy or scorching. The race was well-run; the t-shirt and medal were great. There were some narrow points in which I felt held up by slower runners, but these did not occur often. I also avoided the baggage situation, so did not have the troubles that others wrote about. A good 10K mass particiption run.

In short: Great baggage fiasco
In full: A really well organised event which was spoilt with the fiasco at the baggage tent at the end. A huge queue which turned into a free for all and everyone in the tent looking for their own bag. Hopefully everyone found theirs.
Apart from that, the event was great. Plenty of water stations and a shower were well received as it was very warm and humid
Hopefully the baggage issue will be sorted by next year, but I would definitely do this again
