In short: A well organised race
In full: This is an excellent race and the organisation was first rate. The stalls and refreshment at the school were good and the bacon butty at the end went down a treat. I thought the start was better than last year but still a bit hazardous and would agree that the cars parked on the course (especially round the bend on the first turn) didn't help the start.

The course is fast and the couple of hills are short enough to have a blast at. I had been ill all week so didn't get near to my time of last year but it gives me more reason to be back next year.

Well done to Dave and his team.

In short: Well organised
In full: My 3rd year running this particular race. Always a good turn out and marshalls are good and encouraging as are the runners who have finished and encourage those still out. Found that those at the rear of the pack were left to negoiate the road back to the school, dodging spectators and those who have finished which seems a little unfair. Marshalls did their best, but its down to people being respectful to those still to finish.

In short: A good start to the race season
In full: I have no problems of anything the Garstang organisers have done and find it incredibly laughable why you always get runners moaning about the least thing.

Come on if it wasn`t for these races what else would we do on a Sunday morning in January.

In short: Pleasant, undulating course, lovely weather! Good facilities.
In full: I enjoyed this race and everything seemed to be well organised - well worth doing if you're in the area. The course has a few short hills but away from the main road is nice and quiet and the surfaces are good. Lots going on at the school including hot & cold drinks, food, a sale, raffle... In fact the only criticism I have is of the lazy runners who parked on the first lap of the course - it's only a half-mile walk from the hotel car park and you're supposed to be fit!
