In short: best race of the year In full: Without a doubt my most favourite race, i cant help but return year after year and it just gets better. Ok the weather was horrible yet that fun element of a race was there from all, the fancy dress costumes were amazing ( yes i was the red teletubbie ) the organisers done a amazing job considering the weather despite the hic cup with the shorter course, the marashalls were amazing ! will be back again next year :)
In short: An amazing experience :-) In full: It was my first Knacker Cracker and my first ever event in fancy dress. It was great fun despite the weather and everyone was in high spirits. The atmosphere and organisation on a day like it was, was second to none. Well done to Rob and the team. Will definitely do it again next year as it was a great start to the year. Thankyou :-) Date of review: January 3, 2014
In short: Great way to start the year In full: Many thanks to Dr. Rob and all the marshalls and helpers for standing around for several hours in atrocious weather to put this event on. The atmosphere was excellent as always, despite the conditions. Most of the runners ended up running a short course, due to a sign blowing down, but no-one seemed to mind too much...
I'll be back again next year. Looking forward to the "bonus hill". Date of review: January 3, 2014
In short: Great race, brilliant atmosphere and an excellent way to start the new year In full: The hardest part was standing around in the wind and rain waiting to start, once we got going thoroughly enjoyed it despite the race being short. Date of review: January 3, 2014
In short: Winter rain, hugover, cold, extremely hilly... what better way to bring in the new year! In full: As always a fantastic Trionium event, well done Dr Rob. We cut a bit of the course but given the condition I'm quite grateful. It's a bit pricey but you get a fancy running top with your name on, bright hat, medal and hot soup plus some of it goes to charity! Great surrounding and a fantastic atmosphere :) Date of review: January 3, 2014
In short: would hate a New Year's Day without it In full: Thank you so much to everyone for letting this go ahead despite the weather. Particular mention to the bagpiper, the pipes were gurgling a bit and I hope he hasn't damaged his instrument! He's one of my favourite parts of the day, along with the course, costumes, encouragement, mud, carrot, soup and hot bath afterwards! Date of review: January 3, 2014
In short: Wet and Windy - But great fun. In full: Despite the mishap of the missing route board (blown over or nicked?), first time I done this event and will definitely do it again. Even though the weather was atrocious (wind causing the heavy rain to fall horizontally), one of the few races I have finished with a smile on my face. Date of review: January 2, 2014
