In short: A Very Special Race. The best start to a New Year!
In full: I enjoyed it so much last year, I came back. I had forgotten how hard the race is but that just added to the satisfaction of completing it. The race goodies are second to none. You will never have a full running experience until you run this race! Deservedly voted best 10k in Britain. Special thanks to the organisers and marshalls who were top rate. See you next year :)

In short: great way to kick off the year
In full: A great event run by an amazing family. Well done Dr Robert and Co.

This was my second time racing. My first was 2008 - which I loved but felt a bit bad as I wasn't dressed up. I was, however, fully fancy-dressed up this time in a toga and laurel wreath. Made it even more fun - despite trickier conditions underfoot and lack of stepping stones - which I'm sure makes it longer?. Did better this year too so maybe I should use the toga for all races...

In short: A must do race - superb
In full: Trained over the course 4 times in december and the effort paid off. If you can run up the second hill you'll do great. Soon as I finished signed up for the munro half in june. Looks like many more days training at the hill. If your thinging of doing it in 2011 - DO IT !!!!!

In short: A great way to start the New Year - at least it feels like it once you've finished!
In full: A light dusting of snow gave the event a genuine festive feel this year. Some magnificent fancy dress that defied the very low temperature. As ever, Rob's organisation was faultless and the technical tops for all finishers are an improvement of last year's, which weren't bad. Plus a luminous training hat - perfect.
