In short: Hard work for a first timer!
In full: My first go at a half and came in just under predicted time. Despite my slowness (one of the last 5 finishers) I was still cheered all way round by locals and marshalls and given great encouragement. Little too hot and hilly for the prep I'd done, so can't wait to have another go on fitter, more trained, legs next year. Great t-shirt which was worn with pride for the rest of the day. Very well organised.

In short: Well improved course - except for the For Sale sign!
In full: Next year can the organisers make sure that any protruding For Sale signs are avoidable! I made a sharp left turn in the village at mile 9 and nearly got knocked out by a low positioned sign attached to a building. I am still nursing the bruise and trying to explain to work colleagues that I really didn't see the 3ft x 2ft sign! With a great improvement on the course to previous years, this will only increase the popularity of this hidden gem. There is PB potential and although there are some undulations, the last 2 miles (yes that's right - 2 miles!) are all down hill. So if you can make it to mile 11, you can let rip for the final 2. Another good t-shirt at the end (although my name was covered up by the second silver ink colour!). I'll be there next year for the 6th year in a row.

In short: Very well organised, great for first timers
In full: The race again was very well organised, and the changes to the start and the course this year helped improve the event futher.
However although not fault of organisers many runners starting in wrong pens, and due to the narrow lanes for first couple of miles made overtaking dangerous for all those around. Why do not some runners realise that they are causing these dangerous situations, organisers can only do so much.
Very enjoyable race, great support, will definitley be back, and a great T shirt at end even the other half liked it.
