In short: Superb scenery, lovely flat course, well organised except for number of loos and baggage drop off. Marshalls not terribly enouraging. Overall a wonderful race and I got a PB! Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: Prettiest Race I'm aware of In full: Being a tow path race, don't expect a PB and do expect a little bottle necking at the kissing gates (this year miles 1-3). The scenery you pass on this race is just beautiful and for me made the race worth it despite the heat. The organisation for this race seemed very good apart from being unable to hear the man at the start and there being no where near enough toilets. I also thought that the marshals weren't very encouraging although they did their jobs well. I imagine i'll be back for another go :o) Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: A top event. The best sort of running available. In full: This is a fabulous event. It is a bit of a hidden diamond and I hope the small field remains. Spectacular views running along the tow path. Its not an easy run but it is certainly a wonderful run. The organisation is exactly what you would expect from a community event like this.
Well done. Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: Stunning weather and scenery and very well organised... In full: ...apart from a distinct under-supply of toilets and a nonsensical bag drop system. Volunteers wasted time scribbling race numbers onto labels and affixing them to bags which at the other end were just turfed off the truck for collection on the ground. Labels aren't there to help owners identify their own bags! Apart from that little quibble, this race is a stunning course, amplified by the fab weather, and the atmosphere was lovely. I will definitely be back next year. Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: Best of the 7 half marathons I do each year - not to be missed. Queues for the loos before the race bad this year. Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: A nice flat half marathon, with potential for a good time. In full: The scenery was excellent, and the marshals very friendly and encouraging. The route was narrow in places, especially when passing other cyclists and walkers on the route. However, the field was spread out enough after the first couple of miles that it didn't matter too much. Potential here for a PB (I was only 10 seconds off mine) but the heat made it very difficult. The extra water stations were a life saver... Overall a very good race. Date of review: July 25, 2011

In short: Scenic, well-organised race In full: Lovely course running alongside the Thames - a couple of bottlenecks early on but nothing major. Lots of water stations which was very much appreciated given the warm sunny weather!
