In short: Flat and scenic
In full: Another smooth as silk event from Purple Patch runners. The route alternates direction each year, this year was Marlow to Windsor. The course is flat and scenic in either direction, although you do have to watch your feet as there are tree routes, bumps and dips ready to catch you out if you aren't paying attention.
The marshalls were very cheery and supportive throughout, so many thanks to them.
Another great event, see you there next year.

In short: Great route, lovely scenery. No real PB potential as tow path, and difficult to overtake. Great race, will definitely do it again next year!

In short: Well done, Purple Patch
In full: Another extremely well-organised race. I was very pleased to find the kissing gates were held open this year! Lovely atmosphere - especially with runners moving over on the narrow stretches to let others pass. I hope the runner who was poorly at mile 12.5 has made a full recovery.

In short: Excellent event!
In full: Picture-postcard scenery along the Thames, smooth organization, flat course, secure baggage and not too crowded. There's a reason why this one sells out months in advance.

In short: Again PP show how races should be organised
In full: So if you are after a really good scenic run, are not too fussed about time, without the hassle of 1 loo per 1000 runners (Asics take note) then this is a good one to go for. It was a tough half marathon considering it was flat. Partly my fault due to lack of training, but the ground under foot was tricky in places (tree roots, divots, grass, gravel). Even so, thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next Purple Patch event

In short: Excellent, slick Purple Patch Event
In full: Really nice route, great weather. However proved my theory I am not a long-distance summer runner as even the motivation of this did not make me keep my training up to scratch.
An idyllic run- might do it again in cooler weather.
