In short: Lovely circuit; great atmosphere
In full: Really friendly organisers and runners: I will definitely come back next year. The hills are no joke and, I'll be honest, I had to walk a couple of them. Nonetheless I was pleased with my time.

In short: well worth getting out of bed for...not to be missed
In full: Glorious scenery made better by the fantastic weather on the day.I must admit I found the course somewhat challenging.Having said that I strongly recommend it as a race not to be missed as the scenery is worth every bit of the effort you have to make to complete the course. This race deserves to grow....do not miss it next year.
Thank goodness for those arrows....the organisers did a fab job...thank-you for a great race.

In short: Beautiful scenery, very friendly
In full: Great small local race for me. Really friendly organizers and it was well organized as well. Nice and flat first half and then some good challenging hills second half. Stunning views and the weather made it perfect. Not too many marshals due to the size of the race but loads of arrows to follow which made it all the more fun.

In short: Small and beautiful, great organization, but not for PB!
In full: Gosh, what a tough race. Some hilly parts were so steep that walking was the only option, some descents were so steep and slippery that slowing down was the only option and regardless of the many perfectly placed arrows I almost lost my way a couple of times. Said that, what a scenery! No chance of a PB, but for the sheer enjoyment of it I shall do it again! Last but not least, enthusiastic and very efficient organization and a really quality medal for all!

In short: A race of two halves
In full: First half(ish) is flat and gentle across fields and along the river. The second is distinctly lumpy. Not a pb course but one for bimbling along happily admiring the picture-postcard scenery. About 60 participants, very friendly and very small event - the bike park and bag stowage were the race director's front garden! Great fun, will definitely do it again.

In short: Tough, but fun!
In full: Glorious day out in Medmenham. Nice flat first 4 miles (with a number of stiles & gates to negotiate) lead to a short but aggressive steep climb into the Chilterns. Then nice section along the top and down into Hambleden before another slightly less agressive short back up to the top, then downhill to the finish. Very enjoyable, will be back next year.
