In short: NO problems at the back
In full: Read all the reviews, I started and finished at the back, so no congestion problems for me. Race was fair though, no steep hills at all, if I was any good at all, I could do well here.

In short: Confusing start

In short: Will they improve the start?
In full: I did this race last year and this year's race was exactly the same. Rubbish start in a street that should have been closed but cars were still coming up it moments before the start.

This town (which is part of Stoke on Trent according to the post code, and it appears on peoples addresses, but locals insist it is Cheshire and will have nothing to do with Stoke on Trent or Staffordshire, and love being reminded that they are part of Stoke) is pretty enough to run around and I hope the Round Table do something about the start as it really does let it down. It is difficult to see why this is so popular.

In short: GOOD FAST RUN
In full: A VERY GOOD RACE IF YOU CAN GET A GOOD START WITH SO MANY RUNNERS IN ONE PLACE, BUT WELL WORTH DOING

In short: Only one to do again if organisers sort shambles of a start
In full: This race has long been a favourite of mine over the years with a good fast & furious start to the season. However over the past couple of year's it's been a victim of it's own success from going from what realistically should be a 500 starter race, to one that's now over 1200! The start was a disaster with no line to mark the start; cars parked on the starter road, which funnelled starters & added to the already hazardous start. Runners seemed to be dropping like flies; saw at least 3 poor folk go down, either pushed from behind or stumbling. 2 runners from our club went down with resulting cuts & bruises and these were some of the faster guys towards the front & in contention. Will need to see some assurances before next year’s race, before I hurry to enter again. An otherwise well organised & flat race with all the potential for a PB, marred by a crazy start.

In short: First time was a charm
In full: Was not involved in the dangerous start, and got away quickly, and knocked 7 minutes of my 5 Mile PB. The locals came out in force to cheer all along the cource, and it was a really enjoyable race! Will be back next year for sure!

In short: a fast flat course
In full: extremely crowded at the start. If the organisers could sort that out then it would be oil slick smooth. Everything else about the race/run was good

In short: A great race, but the start does need to be sorted out as this year's was absolute mayhem. The organisers need to try and stop slower runners standing at the front especially with the depth of good runners at the front end
